  • Bored? Want a poorly written piece of fan lore regarding not-so-silly things with my character?
Here is an old document I tried to get added to server lore but never officially did because I suck at pestering people: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1g3gXhENkbSvKdmNxgqu4-FL1fPFqEGvJOvZAvfis0Jk/edit?usp=sharing

Here is the more important final document for my character's lore in leaving B-1 and retiring from MTFs: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1U0mpXin6i3LpM6qfQfvsYg0PSdpvdCAtSmWqJ1OWirk/edit?usp=sharing

Playing MTF was an honor and so fun o7 Thanks to everybody that made it worth playing.
Guinea is leaving the server and I wanted to send him off with something because he's been a great influence on many MTF in the server for a long time and a very fun and kind person to play with.

    P.S. I hate character limits.

Guy wrote an entire story to send off Guinea. That there's some dedication.

    Goodbye Guinea Pt. 5

Eric shook his head and looked at the empty whiskey glass. Forcing his eyes shut for a moment he took a deep breath and let it out.

No, he couldn't think like that just yet. Eric still had more work to do for the good of the Foundation.

No, not yet. He couldn't follow the rails for that train of thought yet.

Now here Eric sat with the docket of his friend and comrade under his hand. The very same man that had laughed with him, was now leaving like the others. What did they know that he didn't? Was it a case of Eric just refusing to acknowledge the inevitable?

Eric stared at the dossier for a full minute before he pushed it away from himself. He didn't need a stack of papers to remember all the good and bad times. They were moments that stayed in Eric's head and played as he looked at his men to be a mentor to them like Guinea had been to him. Was it only a matter of time until he too would reti-
    Goodbye Guinea Pt. 3

Eric remembered all the times he'd shared with Guinea, no drink in hand this time. When Eric first joined Nu-7, he remembered Guinea pulling him along as more of a mentor than just the average higher-up. Eric knew it was safe to say that the knowledge and skills he earned sprung forth from the kindness and stern attitude Guinea had shown him back then. As Eric reminisced, he smiled and remembered all the laughs they'd shared while shooting the shit and watching the gate in the dull snow of Pinewood. They had worked together through the good times and the bad, watching others leave as they rose up the ranks of Nu-7 and not understanding what could possess them to just give it all up.

When Stonewall had retired, Eric had thrown himself into his work at B-1, enough to earn Commander and find more exuses not to think about anything else. Now he was back at the same desk with a different docket in hand. Eric tossed it onto the desk as he walked around to sit in the chair, shaking his hand at the small cloud of dust he'd just kicked up.

    "Never explain anything"
    - H. P. Lovecraft

One after another, they all retired to pursue life outside of the abnormal, the supernatural, the anomalous. What could be out there for an ex-soldier of the Mobile Task Forces to pursue that was worth surrendering all the work they'd put in?

Eric "Epicap" Cappington opened the door to his office study slowly and let his eyes adjust to the dim lighting inside. Stepping inside it was evident he hadn't been home in some time judging by the thin layer of dust covering everything. The same glass of whiskey from when he'd left last time also sat there with a miniscule stain of whiskey at the bottom.
It was with a heavy sigh that B-1 MAJ Eric sat down at his desk and buried his head in his hands. The decomissioning ceremonies always took a little out of him any time one of the MTF soldiers decided to retire back to civillian life. He lifted the file on his desk and read the title -

    "MTF Soldier Stonewall"

With a light smile, he opened the vitae of his friend and began flipping through it. As he read and remembered the time spent working with him in Nu-7, glanced over the heavily redacted and blacked out parts of the file, and remembered each mission they'd gone on together in B-1 - Eric laughed, cried, and as he closed the file, Eric sighed once again. Stonewall would be missed, but his contributions would not be forgotten any time soon by those he was leaving behind.

Even if in leaving the Foundation the amnestication meant that Stonewall would not remember him, Eric knew their achievements together in the Foundation would be remembered by all MTF for generations to come.
