What makes you suitable for Director of External Affairs?:
- My past experience as a DoEA already makes me suitable as I know the inner workings of the Depmartment and External relations. I helped with and oversaw many Documents and treaties between DEA and GOC. I'd like to believe my critical thinking and knowledge could help with important decisions going forward with DEA. Please give some lore about your Director of External Affairs character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Joseph Von Claus sat alone in his dimly lit office, the soft hum of the air conditioning the only sound breaking the stillness. The SCP Foundation had changed since he’d last been involved. He could feel it, even in the silence. The walls of the Department of External Affairs—his old domain—seemed colder now. As if they, too, had lost their warmth, their connection to the world they once tried so desperately to protect.

Years ago, Joseph had been one of the most influential figures within the Department, handling delicate negotiations with foreign governments, secret organizations, and other anomalous entities. He was known for his charm, his sharp intellect, and his ability to navigate the complex web of external relations that kept the Foundation’s operations under wraps. But over time, the weight of it all had taken its toll. The secrets, the lies, the endless cover-ups. He had left, seeking a life outside the Foundation, a life where he could breathe.

But today, that life felt hollow. The world outside had grown more unpredictable, more dangerous. Anomalies were emerging in places no one expected, and the Foundation was stretched thin, dealing with problems both internal and external. The Department of External Affairs was in disarray, no longer the well-oiled machine it once was. Joseph had received the call, an invitation to return—not as a leader, but as a mentor, a guiding hand in a time of need.

He had hesitated, of course. The scars of his past with the Foundation still lingered, and the thought of diving back into the shadowy world of anomalies and secrets made his stomach churn. But deep down, he knew this was the only place where his skills could make a real difference.

Joseph stood and walked to the window, gazing out at the distant horizon. He had always believed in the Foundation’s mission, even if it had taken a toll on him. Now, more than ever, it was clear that the world needed someone like him to navigate the murky waters of external relations. His return was no longer just a choice—it was a necessity.

Taking a deep breath, he walked to the door. It was time to step back into the shadows, to lead once again. The world outside was waiting, and the Department of External Affairs needed its former leader now more than ever.
