Discord name: realvexor
For how long have you played on CG SCP: I have 1327 hours
Age: 20 years old
In what country are you located?: Sweden
Time zone: CEST
Character name(s): Vexor 'Vex' Vercurion
Civilian name: Trevor Arti
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): SCP-RP UK
Do you have a mic?: Yes and I use all the time
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
- I've been a CI-A, A-1 pvt and O-1 pvt
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
- No. Not for a long time.
Why are you applying for Medical Consultant?
- I wish to improve the combat medic experience and make things more immersive. One could do this through non-consultant related means, yes, but as a consultant I would also be able to include other departments. I have a couple ideas that I wish to realize or at least get the ball rolling for. This is the most efficient way of getting things done. Besides combat medic trainings, I plan to host a number of "general" trainings: basic surgery, prostethic/robot limb surgery, how to treat an overdose, whatever comes to mind or I think might come in handy. Get experimental even.
What makes you suitable for Medical Consultant?:
- I am an ex-consultant, ex-CMM, former employee of the month and used to lead a combat medic squad(ACM). I'm levelheaded and know enough to improvise in a variety of situations. I have extensive experience when it comes to psych evals, phys evals and surgery(be it on humans or humanoids). I try to respond to as many calls for medic as I can and greet them with a good tone. Similarly if someone needs a checkup or psychiatric evaluation I respond if I'm available. My document writing might not be DoR level, but it will be done to the best of my abilities. Like I mentioned in the previous question, I have a number of trainings and ideas for the department I want to see happen. If I think the personnel on-site would be interested in some RP, I would attempt to "escalate" checkups and request a doctor help examine the patient. Ie. there's a fracture in an arm after a hostile got a nasty hit in.
Please explain an in-game medical procedure of your choice:
- Removing shrapnel from a wound in the chest(and tending to the wound itself). For convenience's sake it will be assumed all the necessary tools are already available and the wound is exposed. The patient is also assumed to be a big boy not in need of morphine.
First the wound needs be cleaned and disinfected. Wiping away the blood with a towel and then disinfecting the wound is step 1. Step 2 is locating the shrapnel pieces and any cloth that might have gotten stuck in the wound. This can be done using a tweezer and an assisting tool to gently move tissue out of the way. Step 3 is of course removing the shrapnel and cloth in the wound. Found pieces will be left on a nearby plate or dropped in a plastic bag to be discarded later. Step 4 is assessing if the wound requires stitches or not. If it doesn't, the wound can be bandaged and the patient told to rest. Complications may arise when removing the shrapnel and it may be in an awkward place, but the general procedure looks like this.
What are the responsibilities of the Medical Consultant in RP?:
- Teaching and guiding CL1-CL3 personnel in medbay. Providing and enhancing medical RP for other personnel. Be a rolemodel and someone others can ask for help in medical related matters. Lectures and tryouts can also be included but they're more semi-rp/ooc. Consultants also deal with more administrative matters than normal doctors such as interdepartmental relations and the contracts between. Consultanst make sure RP progresses smoothly and any trouble makers are dealt with.
Please give some lore about your Medical Consultant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
The time since his last employment as a consultant has done little to affect his no-nonsense attitude. Vexor has participated in a large amount of incidents, raids and "expeditions" during his time with the foundation. He has dealt with severe radiation leaks, large scale outbreaks, diseases that are anomalous in origin, experimental surgeries that utilize various SCPs to achieve a (farfetched) goal, the list goes on. He has been around for a while and seen a great deal. He is aware of the dangers that many of his doctors/medics may encounter. Dangers that his doctors must be prepared for should they ever encounter them outside of a controlled enviroment. The ignorance of many within the foundation has led to a regrettable loss of life, according to Vexor(cough read comms cough). Some of his most memorable incidents include the "the flesh that hates" infected rat in the medbay ventilation shaft, the (off-map) game tournament where he ended up the only survivor but also one boat richer and when SC wanted Vexor to pump a d class full of various combat drugs to see what would happen(only done in the most humane way possible, of course). He has a grudge against necromancers because of a surgery requested by SC. His lawyer has advised him not to comment further.
