What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
I suggest that a rule be implemented that the UNGOC can only bomb lakehouse with MCND permission or unless none are active. If the requesting UNGOC do not receive a timely reply (in perhaps 30 seconds or so) then they will be cleared to bomb lakehouse. If not that, then possibly adding a requirement to notify lakehouse to be evacuated within a reasonable time frame.
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?
No, I do not believe so.
Possible Positives of the suggestion:
- This would prevent many crossfire incidents occurring with MCND and the UNGOC in the case of airstrikes.
- This would prevent valuable items such as keycards, chems, ect. from being destroyed in crossfire.
- This might prevent possible OOC animosity between players.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- Would interfere with combat in or around lakehouse, especially the nearby surface missions.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
I believe that this should be accepted because it would prevent the semi common crossfire incidents of MCND by UNGOC airstrikes. By requiring MCND permission to bomb lakehouse it would likely have little effect on combat near lakehouse since approval can be acquired or no MCND will be active to seek approval at all. While it has the potential to interfere with combat, the effect would be minimal if the UNGOC seeking to airstrike lakehouse makes preemptive or early requests to do so. This rule would also be granting MNCD salesmen a protection that the Foundation already possesses, while also minimizing its impact on combat near or within lakehouse.
