Why are you applying for Site Advisor?
I'm applying for Site Advisor because I want to have a position where I can help out the UK site in a larger capacity again. During my over a year long tenure as Site Command I thoroughly enjoyed creating Roleplay for the site as well as fixing any issues that may come up, I wish to be granted the ability to continue this.Beyond fixing problems, I believe Site Admin offers me the chance to create new Roleplay in a much more public department as compared to my former positions on The Committee and Council where most if not all actions would require a cover story. I also want to continue my characters story and believe SA is the best place to do so.
However I would also like to attempt to tackle the falling standards of Roleplay on site, it is no longer the Site I once knew and I wish to do my best to try and restore that.
What makes you suitable for Site Administration?:
What make me suitable? I'll state a few reasons below. Firstly, the classic application showcase,> My Experience - I have held multiple high ranking positions across this server, in fact during my 2 years of playing on this server, I have spent roughly 1 and a half of those years as Site Command, nearly as year as a Ethics Committee member and the rest as an Overseer. I believe during this time I have developed an understanding of what Site Administration do and act as well as demonstrated my own personal abilities in management , communication and roleplay.
> SCP Knowledge - I have always been an avid reader of SCP files, be it obscure tales or mainstream SCPs, and believe my knowledge of these matters will allow me to enhance Roleplay I create or partake it. One of my all time favourites that I'll take the time to mention here is the delightful Fire Suppression Department, we are all a big happy family after all. Regardless, with a large amount of SCP knowledge to pull from, I'm certain I can create some new RP using it, as I have demonstrated before.
> Leadership - I believe that during my time on this Server I have showcased my leadership skills, from my humble days as the Director of Internal Affairs, where I lead the Department by myself for the first month, even handling Ambassador Interviews only minutes after getting the position. Moving on I joined the Ethics Committee where after nearly a year I was the most Senior ECM and advised the Committee on nearly if not all of our actions, during this time I fixed and attend to numerous issues that arose from the Site, be it disputes between Directors, trouble with Site Admin or even declining performance from departments. Thus I believe that the skills in leadership regarding these matters will be helpful to Site Administration, and as mentioned above I would love to continue helping the Site.
> Good ol Documentation - Naturally over my tenure as Site Command I have created many documents, polices and programs. The most prominent one I have ever made would be the "D-class work Program" back in my tenure as Committee member which is one of the things I am most proud of on the Server and am glad it continues even to this day, going forward I also drafted and passed the highly Controversial "IA Empowerment Act" which granted Internal Affairs a large amount of authority before the ISD update. Alongside this I revised/edited/reword numerous Internal Committee handbooks such as our ECA handbook and the more public Tribunal guidelines. I do believe that this is adequate evidence of the documentational skills that make me suitable for Site Administration and any policy they wish to create. (I would link these documents, however I no longer have access to them myself. The ECA one is private and guidelines public)
> Professionalism - While Roleplaying on Site I always remain in-character and behave in an adequate manner befitting of the Character I am currently playing. While this is nothing exceptional, this is a trait that is sadly in decline. All actions taken by a character should be justifiable within their Roleplay. I believe I maintain a good balance of Serious-Roleplay and fun and carry that through to the Roleplay I engage in and create.
What are the responsibilities of Site Administration in RP?:
Site Administration have a large amount of responsibility as they handle the day to day running of Site 65, encompassing numerous vital duties. They handle the following:
- Departmental Oversight - Each member of SA watches over their assigned Departments to ensure that the Department is running adequality and fulfilling its purpose, if any issues arise such as poor performance, they then correct the issue in whatever manner they deem.
- Roleplay creation - As they are the Administration of the Site, they are expected to create Roleplay for the site. This can be achieved through means such as direct creation or prompting roleplay scenarios
- Policy management - Naturally as the Administration they are expected to handle any on-site policy, be it creating, updating or implementation.
- Interview and Appointments - Site Administration vote upon and interview members of staff to fill the listed positions when empty:
- Chief of Security
- Director of Medicine
- Director of External Affairs
- NU7 Commander
- E11 Commander
- Employment hearings - With recent policy changes, SA are to handle any issue regarding employment, mainly the handling of appeals regarding "unjust" firing
- Crisis management - Naturally as the ones who run the site, they are expected to handle any crises, this includes management of Code 5s, organising evacuations doing Code Black (and the calling of it), and later on as SM/SD the calling of ERT.
- External Relations - Site Admin work alongside DEA to handle relations with local GOIs
- Misc. Authorisations - Site Admin hold the power to authorise many things, such as shutting down an area for training, and should use this power to assist with Roleplay however they can when appropriate
- Other CL4 duties - As with any CL4, they must handle things such as AA authorisation and closing blast doors
Please give some lore about your Site Administration character and what storylines they would be involved in:
I am currently in the process of creating a new lore page, a full SCP file in the SCP sandbox, however this is taking longer then expected. Due to the other applications being posted I have had to submit this before I can complete the page. I will provide a brief snippet and my old document below.
Old Document
"The Headaches are back, worse then before. The medication isn't helping at all."
"And what of the visions? Is the medication helping with those at all"
"They're.... more vibrant now. I can see more colours then before."
"Oh? And what can you see during the visions now?"
"A room filled with screens. A long metal bridge and..."
[Subject pauses for a period of 20 seconds]
"...A prisoner with no face."
