Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?
The reason I am applying for Executive Researcher is that I love performing tests on SCPs, I love assisting new Researchers and assisting current Sr.Researchers with their tests and experiments, I love creating documents and new formats for other people to use and I truly believe I could help make the Research department more enjoyable for a wider range of people in the community. I have had CL4 experience in the past and I know how to effectively contribute to RP and create RP for other people, I've been doing some of that as a Sr.Researcher by bringing Jr.Researchers etc along on my tests and experiments, one of which contributed to a project I created called 'Project Cognitosafe' which got graded as Excellent by the current leaders of Research. I want to be able to do this in an official capacity now and be able to open up myself to more SCPs and more avenues of creating RP for the lower ranked Researchers around me.
What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?:
As soon as I fully joined the Department of Research, i've been helping along Jr Researchers with their tests and giving them feedback on their document layouts and what they could do to receive an 'Excellent' on their test, When I was prioritising Thaumatologist originally, I had an OSA and Director of Research find my first document to be Excellent and I have been working on my RP and interactions since then, I continuously receive recommendations from 2-3 CL4 members asking why I have not gone down the Executive Researcher route yet and it was to make sure I dedicated a bit more to Research than I already had at that point.
I know how to lead and create RP in different scenarios and I know how to guide and train up people in CL1/2 and CL3 positions, I believe I am suitable because I have the confidence to make Research as fun, enjoyable and as friendly as I have found it for other people, I want to be integral in the projects created for the Department of Research, I want to make sure that Researchers always have something to do that is fun and I want to make sure they always have people to go to whenever they need help on their tests, I feel I hit all of these things for people in RSD.
How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
'Dimension Mapping - PW' (Excellent)
'SCP-3078 - The Shitpost' (Excellent)
'SCP-513 - The Cowbell' (Excellent)
'SCP-087 - The Stairs' (Excellent)
'Project Cognitosafe' (Excellent)
'Project A.C.S - SCP-513' (Excellent)
'Project A.C.S - SCP-012' (Excellent)
Above you can see the Excellent-graded documents that I have created, in order for a document to be excellent, it MUST be highly detailed and analytical, this is because no document will be rated excellent if it has no information to provide or if the information given is incorrect, another requirement for an excellent document is that it must present a practical use for the findings made in the research document and how it can be applied with a direct benefit of knowledge to the SCP Foundation Mission Statement, this makes it so the document isn't 'useless' for a lack of a better word, it means it can be genuinely built upon and acted on by other personnel that read your document. Spelling errors and grammatical errors must be next to non-existent, this is because it must maintain a professional appearance, no one will take a document seriously if it looks sloppy and/or has a bunch of mistakes in it.
Provided the majority of that is met in a document creation, it'll get graded excellent and the researcher who created it could receive 10-12k on hand in.
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:
Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Scott Mitchell was born in the year of 1998 in the United Kingdom in the city of London. Scott had an extremely easy childhood being able to have all the time he wanted to study what he wanted and to master what he wanted, At school Scott was a bit of a tattle-tale, he always reported misbehaviour and always made sure to follow rules to the letter, almost like some sort of "golden child" and this would continue throughout his educational life well on into when he turned 18 years old. When he had turned 18 he had attended university at ██████ in Cambridge, he left home and stayed at student accommodation as he thought himself too good for his home and the family he was surrounded with. Scott studied for years at the university l until he left with his PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) and was ready to begin his life as a Practising Researcher.
3 years later
Scott found himself working at the SCP Foundation, he has no recollection why he was there or how he got there but for him this was his life, he was happy and was allowed to experiment and run tests on any SCP he wanted! Or so he thought, he had no idea there were more SCPs that he had no clearance for. One day Scott realised he was able to do things that he did not know he could do previously, he was able to set some objects on fire just by focusing on them! he was even able to absorb bullet fire and he seemed to even get healthier as a result, Scott was approached one day and was informed that he had magical abilities, Scott shrugged it off as he only believed in Science and everything has a reason for what it does, even the SCPs! Scott was taught how to better control his abilities of Thaumaturgy and how to use them for the benefit of the SCP Foundation, he learned how to create tools using his mind and even fashioned himself a sidearm due to it. Later on down the line Scott wanted to find out how best he could utilise his thaumaturgy abilities to further his research in Anomalies and created many documents as well showing his findings. Overtime people kept coming to Scott to ask for help on their tests and for him to contribute towards some other Projects that his department had going on, **he started to love the interactions he had as it helped further his understanding of his own thaumaturgy powers and it helped his department in the process.**
**OOC: Scott would deliberately involve himself in Projects or storylines involving Thaumatology powers or issues that arise involving those abilities, he has a fascination from them as he used them himself all the time
**2ndOOC: The Thaumaturgy side of things, I am XK VIP and played Thaumatologist a lot alongside Sr.Researcher and have 2 excellent documents created with those powers.
