Denied Sr CL4s Props spawn

What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Allow all Senior CL4 personnel to spawn props without exceptions. This would include DEA Managers, ISD Commissioners, MTF Commissioned Officers (Major) ,CI Major commanders and GOC Majors
And also allow MTF to spawn props when they are not on the commander job.

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
I am not aware of a similar suggestion.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
  • Significant boost to roleplay opportunities, allowing for more immersive and dynamic scenarios.
  • Greater flexibility for Senior CL4s to create necessary props during some events, trainings, and investigations without waiting for other staff or GMs which tend to be busy with their own factions...
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
Potential for abuse, but given the trust and responsibility already required for Senior CL4 positions, this risk is minimal.

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
Senior CL4s have already proven themselves as trusted, responsible members of the server with a strong understanding of RP standards. Allowing them to spawn props even if limted to 10 props will enhance their ability to lead, create engaging scenarios, and respond to situations effectively without relying on others. This change would streamline RP setup, reduce delays, and ultimately improve the quality of roleplay for everyone on the server.

We have actually had this discussion to death - I myself recall a couple suggestions on this, could only find this via searching:

Denied - Trusted Member Role (Prop Spawning)

What does this suggestion change/add/remove: Adds a "Trusted Member" role to the community, given to members who have shown dedication and commitment to high quality roleplay to the server. This role would allow the player with the role to spawn a maximum of 20 props along with a discord role...

But I do recall a more recent suggestion that asked for RP leadership roles to be able to spawn props in some capacity

And it's always met with the same, IMO pretty salient response, that the ability to spawn props is a very locked-down thing that is restricted only to GM and Staff roles, because they should only be used for permaprops (which themselves are intended to be optimised and as minimal as possible for the purpose of reducing lag) and events/RP enhancements.

In short, even ignoring the problem of abuse that you raised, there instead is a significant performance issue. This will likely be rejected for primarily that reason.

That's not true though, we gave department leaders access to spawn props.

If we can’t trust Senior CL4s to responsibly use a small number of props for RP, then they likely shouldn’t be in those positions in the first place. The role already demands trust and responsibility, so this would simply extend that trust to a limited prop spawning ability.

This wouldn’t be for decorating the map or adding large, lag-heavy structures, but for small, temporary props needed for immediate RP situations—things like setting up a quick training obstacle, a crime scene barrier, or a some tables. These props would be removed after use, meaning there’s no additional permanent load on the server.

As for the previous suggestion, I didnt search those specific words thats why i didnt see it XD. But it seems that i didnt make myself clear this is only for Sr CL4s who dont have the ability yet which are to my knowledge: DEA Managers, ISD Commissioners, and MTF Commissioned Officers (Major) I myself cant trust all LTs with this power.

That's not what I'm trying to say - I'm not talking about long-term performance, I'm talking in the moment. Imagine all the RP leadership roles doing stuff with props and one or two ongoing RP enhancements at the same time.

Alright, then. If it's viable, sure. I just have doubts, is all.

I highly doubt that RP scenarios involving props would occur at the same exact times, it just seems unlikely, and even if there was say 2 people using ALL their props (Which wouldnt be likely either) it would be 30 props as the limit per person is 15. This doesnt come close to what a GM utilises for most events involving dupes and the server runs fairly fine with those bigger dupes placed. It would MAYBE be an issue if like 4 sr cl4s would be using their props at the same time an event is going on. But I doubt that would happen, and GMs can just request people not use their props during that time. So overall this wouldnt cause performance issues to the degree that you think it woud in my opinion.
