What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
> This suggestion adds to fix/tweak changes to Janitorial jobs, which would be the base Foundation Janitor and the D-Class Janitor. Aside from tweaking spawns/spawn locations due to certain messes spawning inside walls / outside the map, and increasing "mess" spawns in areas of high player activity, I suggest adding more things to do, aside from just vacuuming and mopping. Site 65 is a huge facility, and it is doubtful that a single Janitor role would be able to maintain it. By adding more jobs for janitors, players would get more support points, possible RP interactions, and generally, more activities to do. These jobs could range from unclogging toilets, taking out trash bags, filling vending machines ( this could then lead to functioning vending machines ), cleaning SCP-173's containment chamber ( D-Class Janitor or regular D-class could do this ), cleaning vacant SCP containment chambers, and other jobs that staff may choose. Each job would either involve mopping or vacuuming as normal, but the different messes would cost more points. So a standard mop/vacuum mess would cost the same, but cleaning SCP messes, such as 173 or 999, would cost way more, possibly in the high hundreds. For balance reasons, these messes should be few and far between, with exceptions for 173, which, in lore, needs to be cleaned bi-weekly. 173 messes could generate slowly within 173's vacant cell, but when a player is spawned in as 173, these messes could generate at a much quicker rate, similar to messes in high foot traffic areas. As for the other jobs, they should take a while longer, being simple button hold prompts accompanied by sound effects for the job, and should cost a fair amount of Support XP based on how long the task takes to complete, with fixed rates being crafted by staff themselves upon implementation. Vending machines should take the longest and give the most XP for completing the task. This would perhaps be the most used job, as with these changes, vending machines could be used to buy soda or food items. Janitors should only be allowed to enter high clearance areas under the supervision of MTF ( HCZ CL 3 or HLCZ CL 3 ) or GENSEC ( LCZ CL 2 ) to clean SCP containment chambers or high traffic area messes / blood/bullet holes; otherwise, they should not go above a standard CL 1 card.
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
> Nothing similar has been suggested as per my current knowledge.
[C]Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
> More support XP for individuals who need support levels to progress to a more desirable job, such as a doctor or medic.
> More player interactions, inside and outside RP, involving SCP, and other Foundation Personnel. Cleaning SCP containment chambers for both Foundation and D-class janitors. Usable vending machines to encourage player economy, and to increase player comfort when it comes to food management.
[D]Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
> I can see an individual being overwhelmed by the number of icons on their HUD denoting the tasks, and or certain tasks being overused, such as vending machines.
> Possible competition for janitorial jobs/messes to clean, along with "farming" SCP 173 for the specific messes it creates for Support levels.
> As with any expansion, an influx of new players to the job may bring trolls or other undesirable personnel.
[E]Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
> I think personally that expanding the earlier jobs would do wonders for the server. By giving players a more meaningful job engagement, they may earn points faster and perhaps stay on that job longer, instead of just using the job as a stepping stone to get the needed levels. This would also give D-Class janitors more RP interactions, such as cleaning 173, as is supported by the lore, and give them support levels. The more XP we can create, and the more engaging a job is, the more people may want to play it.
