Reduce Garage respawn timer

What does this suggestion change/add/remove: Reduces garage respawn timer

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?: Not sure.

Possible Positives of the suggestion: This suggestion would improve the experience of combat of members of SOP. This is because having to wait 20 seconds for a respawn while trying to combat on surface puts you at a huge disadvantage. This also adds more balance (hopefully) making it more possible for SOP to gain surface control.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion: More SOP responding to surface and fighting CI , giving them less of a chance to win on surface

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted: Having around a 15-20s respawn timer is way to much. Especially when both other factions can spawn back in pretty much instantly makes surface combat worse for SOP.

SOP quite literally have a clear disadvantage when it comes to respawns, with the math for garage CD meaning that even with XK you still have to wait a good bit of time.
I have genuinely no idea why the two people above me have said no, this would quite literally make the combat on section more fair.

SOP's main area of operations is of course surface and skirmishes will break out eventually with CI, However as those skirmishes and conflict drags on people will die by the hands of CI and with every death the respawn timer will slowly increase in time needed for you to respawn at Garage again, It will go up... and up.. and up, eventually you'll be waiting a full 30 seconds before you can respawn at Garage again.

And not only CI Can increase this timer, you can also die from 323 or 8854 or even F-Missions against the UN Whether it'd be Anomaly Extraction or GRU-P Terminal.

If we had to do this every time, it would be the most annoying and timetaking hassle ever, especially with everyone else doing it at different intervals those elevators may not be available all the time which then makes you wait even longer.

This change would only affect situations during pure surface combat, during which the concerns of a numbers advantage do not apply. An even playing field between all 3 surface parties is therefore best IMO.

Initially reading this I was a bit like, no that's how it's always been, it makes sense!!!

Then actually thinking about how this affects SOPs, it really doesn't change much apart from a nice to have QoL update.


The main -Support's I'm seeing are just "no" with literally no information attached, I assume they believe this will make Nu-7/DEA Overpowered, but the only way we spawn in Garage is for Compound Duties, Trainings and Leaving Base. Never in raids etc to give ourselves a combat advantage therefore I think slightly lowering this whilst keeping the timer in place would be a welcomed change.

maybe they have it this way because foundation have numbers and are not suppose to totally dominate surface.

I do not see this happening even with increased respawn timers. CI have an equipment advantage and a skill advantage (On UK, at least.). I'm not saying those advantages are uncalled for; They are suitable if within the facility, but the fact of the matter is that Surface is currently not even contested by Nu-7 and DEA, but just unilaterally ruled over by CI outside of the scenario where the Foundation are preparing to Raid the Insurgency.
