Why are you applying for Security Captain? Well couple of the captains tell me that I should apply. I done a lot to help everyone out whether it be questions they have or asking about tryouts. I want to move up within the department but never thought I would get told right away to fill out the application. I want to learn more as I go up and if I become a captain be a good leader for everyone and someone who can be depended on when needed. I can easily pick up on things if I am shown how to do said things, I can also round people up to respond to different situations.
What makes you suitable for Security Captain?: I am usually on when there isn't really any gensec leadership and as a sergeant currently I get asked if I can do tryouts which I can't without a captain to oversee said tryouts. I can take care of things when it comes to unruly gensec or when certain codes happen, I can direct the amount of people where they should be helping out.
What are the responsibilities of the Security Captain in RP?: They oversee D-block and gensec when a chief is not on, also assist the sergeants if needed to get all gensec together when doing a sweep or other events making sure, they do everything correctly. The captains also do training and tryouts for RCL and HWL and can-do sergeant tryout if they are a promoted from probationary and won't need a senior captain or chief to oversee.
Please give some lore about your Security Captain character and what storylines they would be involved in: Start to Johns career as Military police Sergeant he did a lot in the military. Saving a lot of lives, taking the enemy out if forced too or apprehending individuals who caused crimes against others. He didn't have anyone in much of a family was single and trying to work on himself once his contract with the military was over, he would look for a similar job out in the world. 5 years was the contract that he served for his country, when he was packing up his things to send home a letter addressed to him showed up at his door along with a package but didn't say who it was from. He opened the letter as it talked about all the great things he did in the military and all the medals he had earned and recognition from high commanders. Then there was the package John went to open the package inside contained a drive which gave only a brief explanation as to what he would do and was introduced to the foundation.
His time in the foundation as gensec security wasn't always the best but he got through it with the help of other security to assist him along the way. He climbed the ranks fast becoming a gensec sergeant and getting a lot more respect from the other security people.
Some say Sergeant 'Ratio' once talked an instance of SCP-096 into calming down. Others say he "ratio’d" an AI that tried to override the site’s mainframe—by arguing its own logic tree into recursive self-deletion. To rookies, he’s a ghost story. To veterans, he’s the guy you call when you really don’t want to die. He is also the one you want to talk too when things aren't going well, whether it be about life or just others disrespecting within gensec which causes morale to go down. But John doesn't let that happen he keeps the spirits up to everyone especially when dealing with monsters if they break free. Coordinating with other commanders to keep the site safe or keep other people from getting inside the site., to apprehending people who are acting like criminals not following orders given.
John 'Ratio' is a one of kind Sergeant who does his part to keep all his men and women safe and the foundation safe too. Following orders when given and not questioning any higher ups if given an order even you think isn't ethical or within site policies. At the end of the day, he is only human and can always do everything for everyone, so he teaches and trains his fellow security to do the job if he is absent or taking care of other things.
