Content Suggestion The Employment Of 096

Content Suggestions will be reviewed by Content Team weekly, please allow time as not everything can be reviewed at once.

What does this suggestion change/add/remove:

Give SCPs any amount of passive income, even if it's £1/$1.

EDIT: Could also vary based on the typical roleplay-heaviness of the given SCP; For example, any interactions involving 049 or 8837 will likely be more roleplay-heavy than say, 106 or 939, the latter of which tend to just be sampled - So maybe give the more typically roleplay-heavy SCP jobs a little more passive income for their troubles?

EDIT 2:
giving Type Green a -$40 paycheck. You now get charged for playing him
This was funny initially, but you know what, actually do this. This could be interesting. If you run out of money or can't otherwise afford it, you just get force flagged off.

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:

Unlikely.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):

  • + More incentive to wait on SCPs for breach, which in turn leaves that SCP open to be tested on, which in turn promotes RSD/D-Class/Gensec gameplay & roleplay

  • + Simple change to make (Although this needs to be done per-job, yikes  Not envious of who gets to do this)

  • EDIT 2: + Balance 📈

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:

  • - Minor economy imbalance (Especially since players would also be able to earn income while being sampled, this should be taken strongly into consideration when determining amounts for balance reasons)

  • - Low amount won't be incentive enough for players, would make no meaningful change

  • EDIT: - Doesn't really make sense for SCPs to be getting money out of nowhere (But tbh, it makes about as much sense as the no salary popup for them. They're an anomaly, they don't need to be reminded of their unemployment status 😭 )

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:

:skull: I can't believe 096 is unemployed. Please give my boy a proper job with a proper wage, ok? Thanks

EDIT 3: Yes, I realise you can ask SCPs to flag on in OOC for tests and such, and that might be a reason why this could be considered not needed - I'm not making out like this should be the primary drive for people to flag onto SCPs and be tested/wait for breaches, etc. I'm saying that it'd make a decent incentive if doable to an acceptable degree for both the players and balance (enough passive income to be incentive enough without unbalancing the economy to an unacceptable level). Plus in my experience, when I've either tried to get people to flag onto SCPs for tests, sampling, etc. They've kinda... Not. And I don't really blame them, good testing is kinda rare and people generally only sample or w/e. I feel like that for a lot of people, it's not really worth to flag on an SCP when asked.

Honestly, have every SCP gain small passive income, with bonus amounts being given to SCP's that participate in tests ( Similar to D-Class credit but with in-game money )
