  • Roughly, 2 Weeks.
Why are you applying for Special Agent?
  • I’m applying for the position of Special Agent because I’ve truly enjoyed my time within the DEA and the sense of teamwork and purpose it brings. It’s a department I’ve grown passionate about, and I’m eager to take the next step in my career by taking on more responsibility and contributing at a higher level. While I understand that moving up to CL4 involves greater challenges, I’m confident in my ability to meet them and help the DEA continue to thrive.
One of my goals as a Special Agent would be to help create more engaging roleplay experiences within the DEA, both internally and through interactions with GOIs like MC&D and GOC. I believe this would strengthen our presence and make our operations even more enjoyable for everyone involved.

My previous experience in Nu-7 has given me a strong foundation in teamwork, discipline, and operational coordination-skills that have already proven valuable in supporting DEA activities. I now feel ready to apply that experience toward mentoring newer agents, assisting with training, and helping to shape the future direction of the Department.

What makes you suitable for Special Agent?:
-I believe I’m well-suited for the role of Special Agent because I have a strong understanding of the DEA, its structure, and what’s expected of those in leadership positions. Over time, I’ve become a familiar and dependable presence within the Department - someone who’s adaptable, proactive, and willing to take initiative. Whether it’s handling field situations, supporting senior CL4s with operational tasks, or assisting with documentation, I always aim to make their work easier and more efficient, which I see as a key part of the Special Agent’s role.
I pride myself on maintaining professionalism while helping foster a positive and motivating environment. I take my duties seriously, but I also know when to keep things light and boost morale to ensure the department stays engaged and cohesive. My superiors can attest to my consistent dedication, reliability, and the quality of my work.

I also have extensive experience with surface operations, including managing information breaches, countering Chaos Insurgency threats, and coordinating teams effectively under pressure. I remain an active and involved member of the DEA, always ready to step up when needed.

Overall, my experience, leadership ability, and strong commitment to the Department make me confident that I can fulfill the responsibilities of a Special Agent and continue to positively impact the DEA’s success.

How many documents have you written? What makes a document good?:
So far, I’ve written one document for the DEA, which was described by one of the Department Directors as “very good.” While I don’t have a large number of documents under my name yet, I take pride in ensuring that the ones I create are well-structured, realistic, and fit within the SCP Foundation’s tone and standards.
In my opinion, a good document is one that’s clear, concise, and easy to follow. Proper formatting, grammar, and spelling are essential, but it’s equally important that the content feels authentic and relevant to the context of the Foundation. A strong document should summarize its topic effectively-detailed enough to be informative, but not so long that it becomes overwhelming or reads like an essay.

Additionally, while templates can be useful for maintaining consistency, I believe what truly makes a document stand out is how well it communicates its purpose and how naturally it fits within the lore and professionalism expected in the SCP environment.

What are the responsibilities of the Special Agent in RP?:
In RP, a Special Agent typically takes the lead during negotiations, as they hold seniority over regular Agents and Senior Agents. Their presence often removes the need for a Senior DEA CL4 to be involved, depending on the situation.

Special Agents are responsible for overseeing field operations and ensuring that Operatives and Senior Agents are following proper procedures. They play an active role in mentoring and training new members, helping to maintain the professionalism and efficiency of the Department.

Additionally, Special Agents are authorized to issue disciplinary actions to CL3 members of the DEA when necessary, ensuring that standards are upheld. They also serve as key coordinators between departments, helping to maintain the DEA’s strong reputation both on-site and in broader Foundation operations.

They are often the ones to handle negotiations with the Chaos Insurgency and are expected to maintain good relations with allied groups such as the GOC. Overall, the Special Agent acts as a bridge between field operatives and high command, ensuring that DEA operations run smoothly and effectively.

Please give some lore about your Special Agent character and what storylines they would be involved in: Cyras ‘Veylock’ Veylock is a Special Agent within the Department of External Affairs stationed at Site-65. He has a diverse history within the Foundation, having previously served in multiple field operations before settling into his current role. His recent contributions show a consistent dedication to the DEA’s objectives.
In recent months, Cyras has focused heavily on external relations, particularly involving the Global Occult Coalition and Marshall, Carter & Dark Ltd. His interest in these GOIs aligns with his role in coordinating negotiations, managing intelligence exchanges, and maintaining the Foundation’s reputation in interactions with allied or neutral organizations.

Cyras works closely under Department Directors Headbutt and Inquisitor, demonstrating initiative and a desire to progress within the Department. Though earlier field injuries have limited his combative abilities, he has redirected his focus toward diplomacy, training, and operational oversight, making him an effective bridge between DEA operatives and external organizations.
