What Ethics Committee role are you applying for, and why?
I am applying for a position as an Ethics Committee Member in order to further my goals within the site. I have spent the vast majority of my time within the site working with ISD, and whilst I have enjoyed these roles and everything I have achieved for this department, I feel there is still much more that I could achieve in a higher position within the site. At the end of the day, my primary focus has been to create, foster, and develop an experience within Site-65 that all personnel can enjoy and feel comfortable with. I have been able to make a fair amount of progress in doing so within ISD by progressing the professional level of the department to a higher standard, putting new programs and practices in place, however there is only so much I am able to do from a single department. Within the Ethics Committee I hope to assist the other Committee members with their projects, along with developing some of my own.

What makes you the best candidate for the Ethics Committee?
I believe that I would be the best candidate for the Ethics Committee for a few reasons. One of the top reasons would be my experience within ISD, throughout this time I have worked my way up through ISD from agent up to Director, earning 2 medals, and bringing what I believe to be a great deal of progress to the department. This easily shows that I am a capable leader within the site and would be a valuable asset to the Committee. Along with this, whilst yes I have been in ISD, a combative department, I have taken up more of a non-combative role within the department, managing a lot of the paperwork, backend material handling, and other nuances that are necessary. I feel that I may be able to assist the Committee in this regard, helping out with some of the backend, administrative work with documentation and the likes. Throughout my time in ISD I feel that I have shown an increased dedication to the RP, administrative, and leadership side of things within the site, which are all fundamental and paramount to the success of members of the Ethics Committee. I am active, available, and especially easy to reach and talk to, as known by many members across the site, for which I've built up a large chain of contacts within each department of whom know they can easily reach out to me for any issues, comments, or concerns they have knowing full well they will be swiftly resolved.

What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee in RP?
• Assist in Tribunals as necessary
• Auth AA
• Departmental Ethical Oversight
• Oversee & give orders to O-1 & Ethics Assistants
• Approve FLC changes with O5 & Site Administration
• Manage changes to the Code of Ethics
• Uphold & Enforce the Code of Ethics
• Call Code Black, ERT, or Warhead
• Approving specialized research & non-testing usage of D-class

What are the Responsibilities of the Ethics Committee out of RP?
• Appoint the Director of ISD
• Accept & Deny ECA Applications
• Give ECC feedback on potential ECM applicants

Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee Character:

Still fleshing out Cedric's lore, but here's a bit of a sneak peek

I trust anyone who has obtained seniority within ISD for a few reasons.
  1. The dedication that comes with the position is insurmountable
  2. I've attempted to play actively on ISD and could not, with as much motivation I have to be the best I can, I for some reason could never amount to the person who I needed to be to actively play a part in ISD which should speak volumes.
  3. The tasks at hand for ISD is largely more hands on than any other position

With that being said, I’ve seen Walter around quite a bit and I’ve recognized the effort he’s put in as Commissioner/Director. I wanted to wait before posting a review, but it doesn’t seem like his lore is or will be finished. I’ll be honest, I was expecting more from this, especially considering it’s for a Site Command position, and the lore out of all aspects of the application process should be taken more seriously and putting out a unfinished product before completion is a bad sign. (I know most do not see it as this way, however I do) As a first peer review of your potential, this should’ve been a chance to really show depth and direction. Right now, though, it feels lacking. The lore itself doesn’t leave much to evaluate, and everything else just feels like white noise without it.

I appreciate the feedback, I will say in regards to the lore, I had a whole length of lore made for Walter, however I recently PK'd and am still in the process of writing out the background/lore for Cedric. I wanted to get my application put out before it was too late, and did not want to haphazardly rush the lore that I am writing for the character in order to do so, which is why I went with the simple email attachment as opposed to a full length lore. I do understand that this small exert does not show the depth at which I am able to develop lore and RP within the server.

That's understandable, and I respect the eagerness to meet the deadline, but I feel Rowling isn't in much rush to accept the next ECM in my honest opinion. I feel you have the time to make something fantastic for us to read. Hoping to read what you have in store!
