I am applying for the Executive Researcher role because I have a strong interest in structured, lore-accurate SCP roleplay and enjoy roles that allow me to train and collaborate with both new and experienced players. The Executive Researcher position enables me to contribute meaningfully to research operations while upholding professional standards within the Foundation. I am confident in my ability to follow protocol, produce detailed research documentation, and support both senior staff and junior researchers during testing and containment procedures. I value teamwork and immersive storytelling, and I believe this role aligns well with my strengths in communication and decision-making within high-risk, in-character scenarios.

I am suitable for the Executive Researcher role due to my strong understanding of SCP lore, Foundation protocols, and research procedures, as well as my ability to lead and support others in-character. I am reliable, professional, and active during both high- and low-population periods, ensuring research continues, and players can still gain credit and guidance even when staff numbers are limited. I have experience producing clear, detailed research documentation and assisting both junior and senior researchers during testing and containment. Additionally, I communicate effectively, remain calm in high-risk scenarios, and prioritise teamwork and immersive, lore-accurate roleplay at all times.

I have written a high-quality research document titled 'Hand of god'. which details my attempts to communicate with and research SCP-7722 and its anomalous abilities. I intentionally designed the document to be open-ended, allowing future continuation and giving other researchers opportunities to expand upon the work I initiated. I am currently in the process of creating a second document as well. Through this experience, I have demonstrated my ability to identify the key requirements of an excellent research document, including strong grammar, a professional presentation, and the effective use of images to enhance engagement and clarity for the reader.
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:
The responsibility of an Executive Researcher is to support both new and experienced staff in improving their skills and safely conducting experiments. This includes assisting with test planning, ensuring procedures are carried out correctly, and providing constructive feedback to help improve research documentation. Additionally, an Executive Researcher plays an important role in strengthening cooperation between departments while ensuring that ethical standards and Foundation protocols are upheld at all times during research activities.
Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Although I have not yet had the opportunity to be involved in a major story arc, I am actively looking to participate in ongoing narratives, including a potential storyline currently being developed by Senior Researcher Jarrelton Wickhelm Armstrong. I am also interested in initiating a future story arc focused on the study of death and post-mortem phenomena, such as extended life, immortality, or regeneration comparable to SCP-076 (“Able”), subject to staff approval and lore consistency. This concept aligns with my researcher character’s morbid fascination with death and their desire to communicate with the entity known as Death, which is also the origin of their codename, 'Undertaker.'
