[2D Art Dev Application] JesterX3

In-game name: Jaqueline-Claire
Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:582966550
Age: 21
For how long have you played on our servers?: 2 years
What country are you from?: uk
Time Zone: GMT +0
Do you have a mic?: yes

Is this your first application for Developer? If not, link previous ones: N/A

Have you received any bans?: One Tox Ban

How confident are you with Blender/Maya/3DSMax (or any other software that applies) (Rate yourself 1-10 using one rating guide):
I use procreate and VTFEdit, and I'd say I'm about a 8-9 in terms of being able to use them, as I've been using procreate for about 7 years, and VTFEdit for just over a year.

Do you have previous experience as an Artist for GMod?:
I do not, but I am quick to learn and eager to use my talents to help out with the server.

Why do you want to be a Artist? What can you help us with?:
Currently the dev team has no artists, and it's resulting in a lot of upset with the public use of generative ai. I'd like to make a change of that, and help put my skills to work to bring quality, handmade pieces of art and texturing to the server so there is a personal connection between players and the server they play on.

Which server(s) on Civil Networks do you play on and which ones would you most prefer to map for? Have you made & edited any models before? If so attach some images showcasing your model or edit:
I would prefer the UK server, as it's my most played server and home to many of my friends. As for attaching images, this is my portfolio for 2025-26, with both CN related pieces and a few personal pieces to show consistency across my art.

IP GRABBER 90000 (CN Art Dev App Website)

List any ideas of new models or edits for CN that you would like to work on:
-Handmade portraits for F3 and Lobby that ties in original server lore into the map for more immersive experiences.
-Poster overhaul, I think a lot of them are either too similar to other ones, or just wrong at this point. It would be fun to redo them to both fit the vibe and also (the same as above) incorporate current and past lore into the server atmosphere. (These don't count the playermade ones that are decals, these are the map ones.)

How confident are you with QC? (Rate yourself 1-10 using rating guide) (Poster Note: I think QC is something for modellers? I will answer with my confidence for my art programs as to be consistent with my application, as I'm applying to be an illustrative art dev, not a modeller.):
For my art programs (VTFEdit and Procreate) I think I am either 8 or 9 in terms of confidence. I use them weekly, if not daily, and have been using Procreate specifically for nearly 7 years, and VTFEdit for just over a year. I am proficient in both for illustrating and converting.

Do you have any experience with Crowbar?:
I have no experience with Crowbar, but if it is required, I am more than willing to learn it for the role.

How many hours can you commit to developing per week?:
I can commit between 4-7 hours each week, with it increasing during university breaks and summer breaks! If I get the role, my personal goal will be at least one refined sketch per week toward a project.

If any information is missing please comment or reach out via discord, thank you for reading!

IMO It's really easy to learn especially with the info out there it's not obscure or anything so I wouldn't worry about it

Civil Networks team I begging you please let this person in.

EDIT: To elaborate further, I have worked with Jackie in the past when it comes to art stuff. They're work honestly speaks for itself seeing as how they've made art for use in CN (as recently seen with his C.A.T.E PAC submission) and out of it.

If Civil Networks is sorely lacking in illustrators, then I implore the team to take a critical look at Jackie's work to see if they're fit for the role or not. I wholeheartedly believe that they're more than capable of delivering excellent work for CN if given the chance to do so.
