Discord name: TomNook
For how long have you played on CG SCP: Around a Year, give or take.
Age: 21
In what country are you located?: USA
Time zone: EST
Character name(s): Nook 'Rocket'
Civilian name: Nook Fletcher
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): USA
Do you have a mic?: Yes

List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
-Held: ISD Inspector, ISD Investigator | Holding: None
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
-One warn on Aug 1, 2025 for Mixing
What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?:
-I have been a member of this Site for a long time, and throughout the vast majority of that time I have enforced the Code of Ethics within the Internal Security Department with great fervor. You would be hard pressed to find someone with an equal or stronger understanding of the Code of Ethics. A transfer into an ECA role would be smooth and efficient. Combined with my time and experience at Site 65, I would consider myself overqualified.
What are the responsibilities of Ethics Committee Assistants in RP?:
  • Being a Representative for the Ethics Committee.
  • Being a Judge for JrCL4 Arbitrations and below.
  • Becoming Emergency Management if no other Higher ranking Site Staff are on.
    • This includes authorizing AA
    • Declaring Code Black
    • As well as calling a FSL
  • Sighing D class Work Permits
  • Allowing the Testing of Newly discovered SCPs if no RSD Command is on site.
  • Following Orders from the Ethics Committee, what ever they might be.
Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
-After leaving the Internal Security Department, Nook sets his sights on a less combative position, one better suited to his honest yet cowardly personality. He seeks to work even more closely with the Ethics Committee than before, with his eyes set on something greater down the line. While no longer a member of the Internal Security Department, Nook still plans to use his existing ties to ensure that any staff member who violates the Code of Ethics is held accountable, while also maintaining more discreet connections with clandestine groups that view the Ethics Committee as the most important body within the Foundation.

Hello I'm gonna be pretty blunt here -Support and here is why.

Throughout my time as inspector I have seen nook do some questionable things. Generally relating to interactions with lower level personnel. I will be giving a example of one occasion which I got DMs about when I wasn't even on ISD at the time.

The new perma guns being disabled was just added and I guess Nook thought this was a good idea to use for arrests so he setup a checkpoint right outside ETS bunks weapon checking them all. This kind of behavior is what I hate about ISD as an inspector myself. Our goal shouldn't be to just meet an arrest quota there needs to be reasoning beyond just the crime on why an arrest should be given over things like a warning. This is not the only instance I have seen of this with him being hungry for arrests which is just bad for ISD in general.
I know my opinion is not popular with many higher ranking people but I think it is important to say what I have to say. I have heard just way too many people report him for ruining RP I just can't stand behind that.

Additionally he just had fundamental opinions during his time as ISD that I fully disagree with. To name one,
"ISD is not a department that needs to show activty. It never has been."
This was in response to quotas which I can get behind someone not fully liking the idea but with this reasoning no way. ISD is unique to most other departments that it has to work with all of them and is a core part of the server. Now I know its not a full time job but if ISD wasn't on server at all uh techies would blow everything up.

In conclusion Nook has pretty much been trying to seek higher positions for a while but, I don't even think he was fit for ISD with how he treated people. I'm not perfect but Nook while active was rude to people and wrong about so many things.

Thanks for reading it probably won't matter what I say but thought I should leave a comment just because of how much I have to hear about him feel free to DM me if you have more questions as I don't wanna say everything here

First, thank you for taking the time to respond, even if you are not in support. However, I believe some of the points raised are based on incorrect information.

When the ability to remove perma weapons was added, I did set up a checkpoint with several other ISD members. This checkpoint was not outside ETS spawn, but instead in front of D Block, where we checked noncombative personnel for weapons. Individuals were warned, and weapons were removed rather than arrests being made unless they ran, or were warned several times. Multiple announcements were also made over communications informing staff of the rule change. This approach was taken in good faith and was based on suggestions from the DoISD.

As one of the more active members of ISD, I have never had difficulty meeting expected activity or quota goals. My disagreement with the policy was not rooted in unwillingness to participate, but in prior experience where similar approaches led to negative outcomes for RP and department relations. I stand by that assessment. Additionally, as a member of ISD leadership at the time, I was within my role to voice concerns regarding policy changes, just as other ISD members did.

Finally, I want to address the characterization that I was “hungry for arrests.” I have consistently prioritized warnings over arrests whenever appropriate and only pursued arrests in cases involving repeat offenders or clear rule violations. I have also led numerous integrations that resulted in staff being cleared and released rather than detained. Throughout my time in ISD, my intent has always been corrective and preventative, not punitive.

I understand that not everyone will agree with my decisions or opinions, but I reject the claim that my actions were driven by a desire to inflate arrests or diminish RP. My record reflects otherwise.

I got to interact and work together with him alot back in ISD. When I first started being more active and focused on ISD as an Agent, later on Investigator and finally Inspector, he was always around, ready to lend a helping hand and teach things I didn't know before or had an issue with. Whenever I hopped on and he was on site, I felt naturally compelled to tag along with whatever he was doing because it was always something interesting, cool or just good RP in general. He's one of the main reasons I decided to go for the Inspector position in the first place and he was the star of the show in my eyes. (I'm unbiased don't @ me).

He is knowledgeable, approachable and dedicated to his work in the department, usually going beyond the limits of what is required. I am devastated that he is no longer in ISD, however I wholeheartedly believe that any department that manages to snag him will have a person who is diligent, hard-working and someone that manages to exceed expectations time and time again.

I know a lot of people may not like me, but Nook has destroyed some actual fun RP scenarios and may not be a good fit as ECA as ECAs are meant to create RP.

For my first example, an ISD had said he wanted to terminate me when I was cuffed in interro. Another ISD said that they couldn't as a higher up was outside. So I decided this could make some good tribunal RP. So, I talked to Nook about it. Instead of letting me do my RP, he just Class-A everyone who heard about it. This just destroyed the RP overall.

My second and final example is when a Chef was trying to get a tribunal against ISD/An ISD (we were talking to Site Admin about the best approach) we had a meeting with Site Admin. During the entire meeting, Nook kept saying "context," and then just said stuff unrelated to the incident. He was overall just being a nuisance during the meeting. Now I will say that some of the context was relevant, but a lot of it just didn't excuse ISD trying to destroy evidence, threaten the chef, etc.

Now I'm not trying to say he shouldn't get ECA as I do believe he could be a good one if he made some changes. I just think this should me known when your deciding whether or not to accept him.

Subject: Ethics Assistant Application

Dear Nook,

After reviewing your request, the Committee has decided that you are currently unfit for the role of Ethics Assistant. You may submit another application in two weeks. If you have any questions regarding this denial, please contact the Committee for further information.
