Age: I am 22 years old
In what country are you located?: I am from The Netherlands
Time zone: GMT+1
Character name(s): Raaf Hamer
Civilian name: Age Hamer
What server are you applying for? : SCP-RP UK
Do you have a mic?: Yes I do
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held: I have not held any other whitelisted, MTF or CI roles
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?: No I have not
Why are you applying for Executive Researcher? I am applying for Executive Researcher because I believe I can perform my research duties and my assistance to other researchers even better through this role. At the same time being an Executive Researcher provides an even more solid base for Roleplay scenarios and Interactions on site.
What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?: Through my, argueably short, time on this server I have devoted a lot of my time and energy into the research and documentation of SCP's. The remaining time I had left was spent on making friends, and roleplaying with other players to make their, and my time the best it can be. I believe I am capable and suitable for the role of an Executive researcher specifically because of this. Because I spend a lot of my time with RSD, because I enjoy the simple act of research and documentation. Besides this I enjoy helping others out in their research, thinking with other and learning about the SCP's and how they work.
How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent? Over the short period I have researched I have written One excellent document and co-authored another one.
In my opinion the main requirements for an excellent document is that it shows that effort has gone into the research, roleplay has been done regarding the research, and a paper that puts thought into the consequences and reasons an SCP shows their anomalous properties or how it works. It provides reasoning for how it might work and proves that thought and care was put into all parts of the research. Showing these properties of a research is assisted by proper use of a format, proper formatting causes a document to be easily readable, allowing those who read it to easily understand the premise, results and consequences of a research. Proper formatting also makes it easier to later read back on research you have done before which promotes continued research on a specific topic or research. Therefore in the grading of documents proper use of formatting which makes sense should be taken into account.
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?: Executives have a number of responsibilities, both internal and external,
Internally they often provide the soul of RSD, by being around and being the introduction to RSD for many Jrs they provide the basis of knowledge, after that first meeting they still continue to be the soul of the RSD by encouraging, assisting and, managing researchers.
Externally they provide the face for RSD to other departments by bridging the gap between RSD researchers and people they need for research or other interactions. Besides this they hold lectures to inform the rest of the foundation about the risks and properties of SCP's allowing knowledge to be shared easier to larger amounts of people as to ease any worries other departments might have about SCP's or to warn them about the containment procedures of SCP's
Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in: Raaf Hamer, a name which can be Loosely translated to Ravenhammer, is a man who started their working life at the foundation, right out of University Raaf joined the Foundation as a Junior Researcher, on their first day as a researcher, even before the onboarding, Raaf was introduced to the first known instances of Cultists and tasked with assisting in documenting and interviewing these Cultists. Raaf spent the next week classifing and researching the Cultists and how they work. Through this first classification Raaf was promoted from a junior to a full on researcher. After this research on the Cultist book was continued and Raaf was named as an expert on this specific SCP. During the visit of an Executive from the Sister Site, raaf even held a quick presentation on the effects and properties of the cultist book and resulting cultists. This presentation earned Raaf his promotion to Senior Researcher. Raaf uses his Jack of all trades knowledge to identify the properties of new SCP's and the risks pertaining to it.
Storylines Raaf could be involved in is cooperation with other GOI's on a set of Essays Raaf is working on, by using his knowledge on the field of International studies to identify the global risks that a containment breach would cause. Raaf could also use his knowledge regarding mythology to find similarities between SCP's and mythologies to attempt to find out if some mythological tales were in fact SCP's
