Character name(s): Jake 'Metric' Davin, Daniel Shaw
Civilian name: Daniel Shaw
What server are you applying for? USA
Do you have a mic? Yes
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held: ISD Investigator, DEA Agent
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why? None
Why are you applying for Internal Security Inspector?
- Put simply, I love ISD. When joined, I immediately ground out the requirements for Agent, and since then I've played ISD everyday I'm on site. I wish to further expand my role within the department to contribute more significantly to ISD, helping newcomers within the department, ensuring everyone does their share, and supporting the leadership team maintain the high standards for ISD.
What makes you suitable for Internal Security Inspector?
- I'm dedicated, active, and deeply familiar with the inner workings of ISD. I have a strong grasp on the CoE, CoC, and FLC. I'm approachable, patient, and committed to de-escalation and education over punishment. I believe my daily night shift presence and passion for the department make me a reliable candidate.
What do you think describes an ideal Internal Security Inspector?[/B]
- An ideal Inspector should be well versed in the CoE, CoC, and FLC, handling all situations impartially, teaching wherever possible, while themself learning wherever possible to better handle situations in the future. They should be committed to and well versed in de-escalation tactics, attempting to resolve situations nonviolently to preserve the health and safety of all foundation personnel.
How many major, roleplay-serving documents have you written? What makes a document of this nature good in terms of quality?
- I've not written any myself that I'd classify as major, just a few arrest reports where I include as much detail as possible in a clear manor while maintaining proper grammar and spelling. As for the second question, I believe a document fitting that classification would need to be well structured and detail while having proper grammar and punctuation. It should serve as a clear and accurate record that can be referenced later by other personnel.
What are the responsibilities of the Internal Security Inspector in RP?
- Adhering to the CoE, CoC, and FLC at all times, while handling Jr CL4 staff, and other ISD staff who violate these themselves. Administering tests to potential Operatives, Agents, and Investigators, training said staff, and answering any questions they may have. Handling weapon permit exams and authorizing D-Class work permits when GSD is unable to.
Please elaborate on why you think you'd be a good leadership position holder for Internal Security:
- I believe I'd be a good leadership holder because I lead by example. I'm consistently active, follow procedures, and treat every interaction with the same level of professionalism and respect. I'm eager to take the responsibility of training and guiding new members, and I have the patience and communication skills necessary to do so effectively. I don't seek the role for status, but to support and strengthen the department I care so much about.
Please give some lore about your Internal Security Inspector character and what storylines they would be involved in:[/B]
- Jake was a GSD Officer who had seen many violations from other personnel while performing his duties. On the week he was scheduled to take the Sergeant exam, he witnessed multiple wrongful terminations and decided to finally do something about it, canceling his exam and transferring to ISD. Since joining ISD he's earned the nickname 'Metric' for his ability to decipher complex situations with surgical precision. As an inspector, he would be involved in training new recruits, and ensuring justice is served fairly to all personnel who step out of line.
