What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
ETS in general needs more to do, anyone playing legitimately can find themselves standing around bored, looking for something to do. (Which generally leads to chaos)
Not enough things are breaking outside of a breach to keep more than 1-2 people busy.
The variety of repairable items is also lacking imo.

Therefor, I'm suggesting more items to be repaired.
(R)Repair Tool (T) Tech Tool
Phones (T)
Keycard Readers (T)
Pneumatic Tubes (R)
Despensers (R)
Elevators (R)
Hallway Lights (T)
Individual signs (T)
Announcement speakers (R)

And

A modified timer for items to break over time that scales with the amount of ETS members on site.
The current timer, if there even is one, doesn't allow for much to do outside of post breach cleanup.

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Couldn't really find anything, but there probably is something similar

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
Provides a better variety of items to look for beyond cameras, doors and computers to repair.
Would give ETS members more to do while on site.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
Without a proper scaling timer, repairs could get out of hand is ETS is understaffed

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
Idle hands are the devil's playground. Keep ETS busy

+Support
Most of the times as an ETS you're waiting for something to happen and if it doesnt then you're stuck watching paint dry, this would make ETS much less boring and more engaging overall, decreasing the amount of minging also.

Uhh i have concerns about this suggestion as I sometimes feel I'm already being ran into the ground with how many things I have to do (not only repairs but also rp), but this is probably because I'm often the only Tech Expert around. This would be great for IT Tech. though as those usually have almost nothing to do. Generally I'd say +Support.

I'm hesitant about the light repairs as many lights are far out of reach and the developers refuse to give us a ladder placer swep (been in development for god knows how long iirc).

Individual keycard scanners malfunctioning is fine as long as it's really rare and is still usable with a chance of failure (like with when the electrical subsystem goes down).

I'm not sure about the elevators breaking down, I think it might be too disruptive.

Btw you can already repair dispensers.

Besides breaches I find myself just sitting... A LOT.
But to ease your mind, I was suggesting just hallway (reachable) lights.
I would imagine they would make elevator malfunctions rare.
Keycard readers would be easiest to implement as a breaker malfunction style malfunction, but on an localized basis.
The player scaling would make solo teching manageable.
My last suggestion (tech ladder) was approved.

BUT i personally have yet to repaired a dispenser.
