List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:

Specialist Researcher (Held)
Executive Researcher (Holding)

-
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
No.

-
What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?:

What makes me the best candidate for the Ethics Committee Assistant position is my willingness to engage in roleplay scenarios with the Research and Medical Departments regarding their tests. Given my previous and current positions within the Research Department, I have a greater ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with Researchers. Additionally, I want to help establish clearer guidelines regarding the relationship between Research and Ethics, as the boundaries between the two can sometimes be unclear. Overall, I hope to serve as a voice for the Ethics Committee within the Research and Medical Department.

-
What are the responsibilities of Ethics Committee Assistants in RP?:

The responsibilities of an Ethics Committee Assistant (ECA) in Roleplay is being the voice of the department. As with any assistant, they are there to help get the smaller details down within the department. ECA are mainly there for one-on-one talking with individuals, whether that be with a Researcher about their test, someone who has a question, or whatever is ordered of them. Generally, they are there as information and to focus on the behaviour and ethical status of the site to report back to the Ethics Members.

Besides the main two departments that deal with testing on D-Class, ECA’s also act as investigators in the event of a Code of Ethics (CoE) to determine if any code was broken and the punishment if so. Along with this, they monitor and report any other ethics violations to Ethics Members if they occur and help establish ethical standards for departments. They also act as Advanced Armoury authorizers and Emergency Operations managers.

Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:

José Sands truly started his career as a Senior Researcher, but he always wanted to do more than his current position allowed. When the "Trusted Program" was introduced, giving Senior Researchers the opportunity to experience being an executive without being one, Sands immediately took the chance. After joining the program, he became a Specialist Researcher and began working more closely with the department.
As research continued to grow, Sands found the Department of Epidemiology. He joined the department during its startup days and continued even to this day. Due to his dedication to sticking through with the department, he was promoted to Senior Biohazard Specialist and was tasked with aiding in the growth of the department and knowledge.

The "Trusted Program" began to face discussions about it potentially being shut down. Sands decided it was time to take the next step. The program's leadership encouraged Specialist Researchers to speak with Executive Researchers and consider applying for the executive team, which he saw as the perfect opportunity to apply.

As Sands became part of the Research Executive Team after being a Specialist, he was promoted to the Junior Executive Researcher position in order to be able to work with the Research Department directly. Continuing to conduct interviews with SCPs in order to study their behavior, motivations, and emotions, José also began grading documents and participating in some departmental duties such as on-boarding a few Junior Researchers, supervising their tests, and ensuring they all follow the proper CoE and FLC. During his stay in the Department of Epidemiology, Sands was involved in a number of joint projects with the Medical Department, researching an unidentified disease under the supervision of the Director of Medicine and the Executive Biohazard Specialist of the Department of Epidemiology.
All those experiences taught Sands the responsible research and ethical issues related to scientific development. Now, José Sands sees the interest and possibilities that could await him of being an Assistant to the Ethics Committee. He sees them not as road blocks, but as guides for the foundation to follow.
