Yes I am aware this is likely to get denied

#What does this mean Prox? Well I will tell you. Let us all be honest here. Surface is boring. Civilians are lowkey a boring faction unless you wanna minge. Same thing with Parawatch, Same thing with MCnD, which you need to be a highest-level donator anyway. So this suggestion would add an organized BUT non-militarized GOI faction. I would say an example of this would be like Serpents Hand (Not as powerful, ofc, but their goal being the worship of an SCP, setting them free, or another goal that would kind of mess with all GOIs. Currently we have 12 event-only GOIs, which is lowkey ridiculous. Why not add something not meant to be a fighting faction but meant for actual LARP, like something to do on the surface aside screw around for like an hour or looting? Ofc, if using a lore GOI, it would be required to be a lesser "Rag-Tag" version of it like Anderson Robotics being guys who work on vehicles or have actual robots that you can see, and they RP to make them or acquire certain crafting components before making them. This has kind of turned into a rant.

Some things I have ran into while talking to friends: A: That's what Parawatch is supposed to be. My response to this is Parawatch is literally is a minge faction if we're being honest. Their main goal is to run into foundation, pray they get a 914 disguise, or shoot some people and maybe get to non-spec. And with MCND it is literally just the highest donator job that tries to sell weapons. They aren't really the large organization that sells cool SCPs.

One other thing was the note of Game Master Factions people can join: to that I say I want a faction that operates on its own, that creates roleplay WITHOUT GM involvement. Will it require gm from time to time, yes because every faction does. It should not have to rely on them though

Please Note: The lore things are examples; I couldn't care less if they did a homebrew thing but a faction that just isn't militarized and focused on LARP or some sort of other power they draw from would be 10x cooler GOI to have on the surface for GOC, Foundation, and CI to interact with.

What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Adds a GOI to the server (Already explained this)

Possible Positives of the suggestion:
More Roleplay
Three Different Factions get something new to interact with
Run by the players, not by gms (Thus the people in the faction not having to wait on a gm)
More relations for people!!
Non-militarised faction that isn't under the foundation!

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
May overshadow civilian group

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
I honestly don't know how to explain this better. I want to play on surface but it's godly boring and anything you wanna do that would be interesting takes months to set in rp that can be dismantled by just one slip up. Based on the positives and negatives, I think this could revive some sort of surface roleplay so that it happens more often.

If you have any other suggestions for GOIs please leave them in your review and I can add them as an example to the list

Adding a new faction is hard (I think there is too many factions already with how one dimensional both GOC and CI are) but you could potentially add a more merchant like faction which would have little to no combat capabilities themselves, but have the ability to enhance the existing factions for profit
That could be Anderson robotics who could scavenge the surface for parts to construct robots which other factions could utilize if purchased
Or you could have Dr. Wondertainment which could go through a lot of steps, but after completing them they produce an inanimate anomoly (Similar to a GM objective) which can add to the existing GOIs researching capabilities

However, The problem is that with the current server economy, all possible products will either be so expensive that only a small percentage of the server can afford it, or they are so cheap that everyone has it, and it doesnt feel special (or could be over/undertuned)

1+/- Neutral

Been suggested by many for yonks for new GOIs, but I feel that all these would do is add a LOT of work for DEA and Nu-7, which if that's the case it might be worth seeing what they feel about it since they'd do a lot of info-breaches/trouble more than likely.

If DEA and Nu-7 want more work than 100% yea, if not then I'd say nah. At this point neutral since its a good idea, but just needs some more feedback before hand.

I really like this idea and I think it is very thought out. I agree surface is very boring unless if you are SOP or CI AND the other side is fighting you. However I am not sure this will be approved only because of the issue of trying to get it implemented. Also for whoever says GOC should be removed, that would not be happening lol

This wouldn't be a problem if people Roleplayed on the Roleplay server.

This is kind of the jist I am trying to gauge with the suggestion. The idea is this. They do something that isn't combat. This is not a dig on CI or GOC either. They play the hand they are dealt for the most part (Especially Chaos). I think a Merchant thing with the robots could be a cool idea.

With the Robotics idea you could also have them use the robots for their own security so they aren't 100% cooked, but it would ofc have to be made which would cost resources for them (Out of their/faction pocket), so it would likely only be used in a specific scenario.

Suggestion Denied

Hi @Proximo1021 ,

Thanks for taking the time to make a server suggestion.

The Content Team has chosen to deny your suggestion due to the following reason(s):

We believe that at the moment that adding an additional faction would not be healthy for the server nor act in its interest. There are many concerns regarding how and where we would place them in between the current Factions and how we would feed content and balance it effectively in order to sustain the faction.

Your suggestion will now be locked and marked as denied.
