What can you bring to the Global Occult Coalition:
I can bring professionalism, keeping things serious when it matters. I can bring some good quality roleplay in situations to liven up the experience with others. I aim to bring a pleasant experience for people that are involved with roleplay with the GOC while I'm involved if I can help it. I hope to bring my dedication and activity for it as well.
Why do you want to join the Global Occult Coalition?:
I was one of the 3 CPTs before it was remade. I am looking to rejoin and continue my way with the UNGOC and continue to be apart of the faction. I've always enjoyed being outside the usual Foundation vs CI conflict and being a third party that is more involved in roleplay and handling things differently than a quick "Kill this, capture this" kind of deal. I want to continue to be involved in handling situations outside of the normal everyday gameplay most others seem to experience. My job isn't to understand the anomalous for its own sake. My job is to make sure humanity survives it.
Why was the Global Occult Coalition founded?: The United Nations Global Occult Coalition (UNGOC) was founded in 1945 in the aftermath of World War II and the Seventh Occult War. During this war, the SS Ahnenerbe Obskurakorps attempted use of thaumaturgic artifacts to use in the Rite of Solomon, which would've allowed them to manipulate and control thaumatology. While they did succeed, the Demiurge was summoned, then defeated, which resulted in the Obskurakorps' end. The Allied Occult Initiative then formed under the United Nations and became the Global Occult Coalition.
What does the PHYSICS, PSYCHE, and PTOLEMY Divisions specialize in and give an example of some functions they do:
PHYSICS Division
Role: The armed direct-action and combat arm of the UNGOC
Duties: Tasked with the observation, investigation, capture, and neutralization of Known Threat Entities (KTEs)
Structure: Composed primarily of Assessment Teams and Strike Teams.
PSYCHE Division
Role: The diplomatic and liaison branch of the coalition.
Duties: Responsible for maintaining peaceful relations and negotiating with non-hostile paranormal communities, external occult powers, and civilian authorities.
Structure: Employs Special Observers to document emerging para-threats and Ambassadors to manage political interactions with other anomalous factions
PTOLEMY Division
Role: The administrative, research, and logistical support arm.
Duties: Tasked with keeping the organization running smoothly by managing equipment logistics, coordinating research, and developing advanced paratechnology for field operatives.
Structure: Includes Research and Development departments as well as quartermaster and supply units.
What are the Global Occult Coalition's goals?:
Uphold the fivefold missions, Protect Humanity.
Survival: The survival of the human race against Parathreats and anomalous entities. This takes priority above the other missions.
Concealment: Keeping the veil kept against others, civilians and such to avoid panic. Conceal the existence as best as possible from the public eye.
Protection: While expendable in the case of the First Mission, all human life is to be protected as best as possible.
Destruction: If a parathreat is exposed to Human life, no unnecessary risks shall be taken to ensure the survival of the threat.
Education: Take every encounter and known parathreat into account, learning as you go in order to better combat the anomalous. Every encounter is a chance to better learn them as a whole, and better combat against the parathreats.
What makes the Global Occult Coalition different in in-comparison to the other groups within the SCP-universe in your view?: They're not just there to capture and study what exists. The UNGOC focuses more on protecting Humanity, even if it costs their own life. They would rather destroy the anomalous than risk more damage and exposure to humanity by trying to capture something.
GOC cares more about Human Life, than either Foundation or CI.
