What can you bring to the Global Occult Coalition: I bring roleplay to the Global Occult Coalition. Honestly, I just want to do Diplomacy stuff in the GoC. I enjoy the lore. The whole being backed by multiple GOIs like Pepsi and other stuff like that. I generally just wanna be the propaganda guy, like going into site, doing QNAs, ETC. Anything to make the GOC More appealing to any other groups, allowing them more access to do stuff. So I mostly wanna bring roleplay. Now I will say I originally was an Attache but I generally hated it because they were so restricted. Couldn't go anywhere and Couldn't do anything without an Officer.
Why do you want to join the Global Occult Coalition?:
I want to joint he Global Occult Coalition in an attempt to set the Diplomacy part right. Every time I saw interaction with GOC, it was always misdirected and never really anything that was cool in my opinion. I never saw them interact with the other things like E-11, GSD, or anything like that. So I want to join in an attempt to set this right and try and make the Diplomatic section of the GOC actually fun for all involved, including the lower-ranked attaches (I do know that I will likely start as an attache lol)
Why was the Global Occult Coalition founded?: It was founded when groups like Nazi Germany attempted to weaponise SCPs and rituals to do... not so nice things. The reason they were founded was to prevent cases like this again. Judging by their five-fold mission, the GoC likely realised how easily anomalies can end the world, thus making it one of the most necessary things for the United Nations to have.
What does the PHYSICS, PSYCHE, and PTOLEMY Divisions specialize in and give an example of some functions they do:
The PHYSICS Division is the GOC's military, basically. They got Assessment teams that investigate threats, and Strike teams that capture them. An Example of this in lore is an Assessment Team scouting an area that has a Type Green threat that has been spotted. Then a Strike Team is sent to quickly kill the threat before they become a larger issue. In-game reference would be an SCP breaching the surface, then assessment teams moving to locate it while the strike team and assessment team work together to secure it. Additionally, assessment can likely identify new SCPs the foundation has to categorize them for later threat assessment in the case they breach surface. Some Functions they do on the server are helping with breaches, securing Surface Anomalies, and escorting high-ranking Global Occult Members.
The PSYCHE Division is my favorite, and the diplomatic area of the Global Occult Coalition. They have Special Observers like assessment teams (Not the same) that observe parathreats. The Ambassadors handle the actual Diplomacy with non-hostile groups. In-game, we have the Attaches and the Ambassadors. The Attaches handle minor things like propaganda, attempting to get on the good side of other groups, basically trying to make good PR for the GOC. They also assist ambassadors with documents and setting up meetings. Ambassadors handle the stronger relations, such as Foundation Command (O5/Ethics Committee). They try to make deals with them to gain more things for the Global Occult Coalition to utilize in some way. An Example of an Attache would be an Attache going into site and setting up a Question and Answer (QNA) Desk to answer the questions of foundation members in attempts to give themselves better public relations and standing. Another example would be an attache setting up in pinewood and asking for feedback from the civilian populace.
The PTOLEMY Division is the GOCs supporting area. They basically have RnD, and Medical under them. These guys are responsible for roleplay in events and roleplay between Foundation R&D and CI RnD. They usually have guards with them noting how they are important to the GoC. An Example of the RnD Unit would be trading samples with other units, asking to go into site to assist with an event SCP that the Foundation may not know much about. Sharing information about SCPs in a mutual exchange with them and the other Group of Interest they are interacting with.
What makes the Global Occult Coalition different in comparison to the other groups within the SCP-universe in your view?: The Global Occult Coalition is different to other groups in the SCP universe due to a few key reasons. They are controlled by the 108 Council, which are the 108 most powerful organisations that are apart of the occult.. They are not backed by third-world countries like CI or by a group like O-5 of the Foundation, making it unique in the range of backgrounds people can come from. Another thing that makes them different is their technology. Compared to the Foundation's Low-Mid Tier Technology, the GoC beats them 10/10 majority of the time. Although it can be more competitive in the high-end area (If looking at something like Tau-5) . Lastly, the five-fold mission makes it different from both. The Global Occult Coalition thinks in the long term. Their priority is the survival of the entire human race. Not just one group or specific areas. This also makes for some really good roleplay
