This kind of suggestion is pretty popular and it's been suggested a few times before, but the general idea of increasing the information fidelity of broken things from having to manually find out that it's broken to just being able to find out via the tablet I feel both oversimplifies E&TS...

I remember this being suggested before and it being accepted. I think it's just difficult to approach actually trying to make it work, in a way that doesn't break everything.
