Denied A few Gensec improvements

What does this suggestion change/add/remove:?
Increase the number of captain slots from 4 to 5
Change the clearance level of SRU from 2 to 3
The addition of 1 more SCU slot
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?
I believe the SRU clearance level suggestion may have been accepted a long time ago but was not implemented?
Possible Positives of the suggestion?
-Since we have a lot of new captains the increase to even 1 spot would be very beneficial due to the also increasing number of active gsd
-SRU has been underused due to the change of clearance to cl2 and it has been kind of avoided by GSD because of clearance level is too low to open a lot of doors in HCZ because SRU are now allowed to patrol and help in hcz but
-The addition of an extra SCU spot might be beneficial due to the size of HCZ(2 could be in hcz and 1 in lcz)
theres a lot of minges who like to hop on SCU and hold the spot while doing whatever they want and the other gensec have to fight the SCPS with less effective weaponry but theres also a few who are actually good SCU's

Possible Negatives of the suggestion?
-dev time of course
-people saying there's too many captains;
-3 SCU's who might be minging at the same time is definetly something that might happen ;
-more incidents with SRU doing something dumb or just minging in cl3 HCZ areas;
-maybe breaches might be shorter if the SCU having good cohesion


Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
-The new large amount of gensec is hard to manage when you have captains doing tryouts ,trainings and sweeps at he same time
we have a lot of new captains who are still adapting and having a few experienced and a few new ones at the same time would be great for the future of gensec
-SRU is going to be used again and actually enjoyed
-SCU is not always minges on it but actualyl usefull gensec

thought they completely forgot about it its been months since that thought it would be a good reminder

+ Support SRU being CL2 makes the job redundant when you can play officer for CL3.

As Gensec was somewhat recently reworked, we can make an exception for that rule in the FAQ. There is clearly thought put into this submission.

This however is no guarantee this will be accepted, just that it will not be immediately denied
i hope so but the captain +1 slot is kind of needed we are many more captains than before the rework and even if you hop on officer they just say:why should i listen to you?you're just an oficer! or some BS like that

if sru is level 3, then personally i think the scu should get its rrt removed, kinda like a split rrt sergeant

Hello content team here. When we approved this suggestion we only accepted the interrogation tool addition. We will be revisiting the clearance update and the next content team meeting.

-Support for SCU and CPT slot Changes
+Support for SRU clearance level change
-Personally i feel like 3 SCU is just too many. E11 exist for a reason, if you need that many, might as well just be in E11.
-Would also make it unfair to CI.

-For CPT slots, the amount of people that are a CPT is very changeable. At one moment you could have 3 CPT's total in GSD, another 12, and so its more around balance and not "Who gets to play on it or not". I think its good how it currently is.
-For SRU, this would make them more of a response unit who is more available in CL3 comms.
-More SRU on and active
-Most SRU are already able to play Officer, so playing on SRU can be seen as useless right now as you're losing a CL3 for different guns.

Suggestion Denied

Hi @Mighty Beast ,

Thanks for taking the time to make a server suggestion.
The Content Team has chosen to deny your suggestion due to the following reasons.

Adding more CL4 slots breaks the 2:4 ratio almost all departments have furthermore the slots are rarely full and if they are full there are more than enough CL4s to handle the running of the department.
SCU is very powerful, and does not need a slot increase.
SRU will not be raised to CL3 as it would give GSD too many CL3 jobs as well as that the CL2 works well with the progression system of the department and the nature of the job.

Your suggestion will now be locked and marked as denied.​
