What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Add a new electrical box somewhere in a CL3/CL4 area. That breaks all the current doors in D-block when hacked. The hack would be a CL5, and there would be a server population limit for the box, such as 60 or 80 players need to be on, and a cooldown to prevent being hacked too often, like a 2 hour cooldown or more. The box would need to be fixed before the doors in D-Block could be fixed, like you would need to do a hack to fix it.

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Couldn't find any similar posts

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
Another raid goal.
Happier D-Class.
Gives Gensec and MTF something else to do.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
Disruption of actual Roleplay.

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
It would give the GOI's raiding foundation a different goal, instead of breaching SCPs. It would also make Gensec and MTF combat the D-Class riot and try to repair the electrical box. Instead of them just patrolling or being stationed a places.

Edited: Doors can be fixed without hacking box

-support if the doors cant be broken by scps then it makes no sense they can be hacked, let alone how easily dclass can cause chaos from keycards and scrap alone if they wanted to, super easy to due and no reason to add another easier way to do it, when its already so easy to break out

I don't mean the glass doors. And the cooldown could be much higher.

...I can see this idea working - Not as-is, though.
The only changes I would make to make this more viable is maybe putting this in LCZ electrical, in one of the EZ maintenance tunnels, or in the D-Block maintenance area itself - Then making the actual fix for this two-way, so that this can be fixed from D-Block by fixing the doors instead of having to send someone over there while also dealing with rowdy D-Class. I think limiting the fix to require this to be fixed first is a bit much.

I otherwise think this is a workable idea and is worth exploring.

As an 096 main, I find it kinda stupid that 096 can't break the outer watchtower doors. I get why SCPs normally can't break it, but for 096 specifically is just a straight-up trap and accounts for roughly 85% of my annoyances whenever I play 096 and a breach goes to D-Block. It's the most unfun thing on the server, IMO.

I dont think there should be indestructible doors in the first place except for a very few areas perhaps. The D-block watchtower should definitely be destructible in the first place and personally I'd go as far to say more things should be able to break the BD there

I don't get why it should be indestructible. It's always been stupid.

I vaguely remember a time when it was breakable and IIRC the problem was that D-Class always use that door being broken as an excuse to riot, which makes it impossible to fix because they're always killing any techies that try to fix it.

It's endemic of some of the design issues inherent to D-Block itself. I feel like that an outward facing door into D-Block catwalk should be more secluded and never in full view of all the D-Class.

Even what this suggestion's asking for would be more feasible if it was like that.

It just wouldn’t really bring much quality into the server, as the doors can be hacked out, or broken by an SCP. Both incredibly easy to do and no need for another system such as that to be added.
