What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Adds an entity that simulates a broken device box.
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Not that I'm aware of.
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
Engineers and Tech Experts would have the ability to practice their box repairs.
Would allow for inexperienced players to learn without having to wait for an outage.
Would gives Engies and Techs Something to do when no repairs are needed.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
Possibly Dev time?
People Might abuse it for Support XP (Could be fixed by lowering/putting a cooldown on xp gain)
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
I believe this could help boost some roleplay within the department. I personally would love to make a lecture how to do the minigame but I don't have time to take individual pictures or plot it out when an outage occurs. Without the pressure of fixing the site on your back, you could have time to think upon the minigame and teach other people.
Additionally, there is no way to interact with this minigame outside of an outage, drinking brodamine, or hacking one of the boxes. Newer Engies or Tech Experts who have never done the minigame tend to take longer when repairing boxes, which could potentially hinder roleplay. Adding the ability to practice would mean Facility Services could be repaired faster without having to wait for someone to learn the minigame.
Finally, it would give Engineers/Techs Something to do on downtime. When there's no repairs to be done, it would be nice to be able to practice something instead of just flagging off of the role.
