Denied Advanced Armoury Coded CL3 Doors

What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Replace AA door keypads with CL3 coded ones, with the code being provided to anyone that is allowed to use AA, e.g. E-11 with AA license. Alternatively, or additionally, the regimental keypad clearance from MRP should be used, with the keypads being CL3 for E-11 and Nu-7, but CL4 override.

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Changes to AA have been suggested in the past, but I don't believe this has. It's also hard to find out if it has or not, because the forums search won't let you search for "AA".

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- People can actually get AA when authorised without having to wait ten years for a CL4 to arrive (AA is never manned)
- Allows that whilst still preventing any random person from entering that isn't authorised. Only trusted people can get the code.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- Easier to hack the door, I believe
- Potentially reduces the barrier to entry, so there may be more abuse
- If code is leaked, the code would have to be reset and re-issued.

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
It would make getting AA much less painful, as right now even when AA is authorised (rare), you still can't get in because no CL4 ever mans the doors. This is especially the case with the LHCZ armoury. It would also mean that AA can be accessed when authorised even when there are no CL4s e.g. in HCZ, so e.g. if no E-11 COs on, E-11 can still access it without going all the way to SS.

EDIT: Added additional possibility of MRP's regimental clearance levels.

Making AA more accessible in this way is a recipe for disaster. As well as the extra burden and commutation of having "trusted" CL3's to know the code and keep them updated with it.
Manning AA is one of the duties of a CL4.

I don't want a alpha on a cl3 job (R&D or DC) to take any armaments from the armoury so they could throw around a sticky bomb and slams. In general there will be a lot of chaos especially when Gensec can get on a cl3 job and abuse AA against others, also they could be opening the AA door for a cadet or for someone under clearance when they feel to.

In a massive breach I rarely see any CL4 down HCZ, even if you ask for one to open AA, it usually takes forever, and sometimes they won't even show up.
It is already a complicated process; you need ask permission, then you need to ask CL4 to open AA, get over to AA, grab something, go up to wherever the SCPs are, all this during massive breach. And AA cooldown is like 30 mins or something so it's not easily abused.

Maybe make it so the difficulty of keypad hack be the same as CL4, but make it be CL3 with a code that gets updated like every month or something.

If someone is found abusing or having the code when he shouldn't, just punish him.
What would the difference be to that of someone that found AA open, grabbed something and killed a bunch of people with it?

If people want to break the rules and abuse, they will always find a way.

could be a savior for 5 breached SCPs, but the problem is: trusted person gets code for AA, spreads code around base, techs with level 3s get matadors, site destruction
then the code will have to get changed every day or week since trusted people will keep spreading it around with documents or discord DMs
if even a single CL4 got demoted that code would have to be changed as to not let them continue having access to it.
and also this, even if a cl3 gets demoted they still have access to that armory and can give cadets augers and nerve gas to mass murder d-block with. it'd be better if cl4 mans the door instead of giving it a code lock.
Sure you said that only E-11 with AA access should get access to the code, but what if one of them gets demoted or goes rogue and decides to give the code out to CI or something. now you have CI recruits running around with nerve gas and matadors. I'm pretty sure it's already a pain to change a coded door's code.

Well they don't. Ever. Especially not LHCZ one, which is the only one E-11 has access to realistically. AA is very rarely authorised, and when it is, I am unable to access it 90% of the time because there's nobody manning it. Nobody ever mans LHCZ AA, and I honestly don't blame them, when the only CL4s that spawn in HCZ are E-11, and they are actively handling a breach. Unless you plan to actually enforce CL4s manning that, then this needs to change, because E-11 can basically never get AA even when authed.

The problem of trust is solved by only giving it to actually trusted people. As it is, half the time that AA is authorised, I end up having to door fault AA because there's no CL4 E-11 and no CL4 is entering HCZ at all. I've done that 2/3 times and have never had a problem with other E-11, including PVTs, taking anything that they aren't allowed to. I have never had any problem with anyone in E-11 taking AA without authorisation, even with being easily able to - just because e.g. GSD Officers might not be trustworthy doesn't mean anything, because that's what the code is for. And if somebody misuses/spreads the code, then they can get BL'd from their regiment, or maybe even server punished for it.

An alternative to this is we have an actually useful keycard system where the levels can be based on more than just level. Maybe bring over regiment and override levels from MRP and make it something like [coded, CL3 E-11/Nu-7, override CL4, bio] or something. We just really need access to AA to be actually possible for E-11, it's just never used.

finally, a suggestion that appeals to both my frustrations as an E-11 and my desire for chaos at the same time! although i wouldn't mind if ONLY LHCZ's AA was CL3 coded. can something be coded AND bio? i assume not, but

between grievous SCP breaches that can't be properly addressed, because lack of access to AA when authorised, and the increased potential for abuse by bad actors - both of which are potential server health issues, the fact of the matter is that misuse of AA by minges is something that is punishable by staff anyways, which is perfectly fine.

i'm too tired to write minus support lore
The date is ██/██/████, a site wide SCP containment breach is occurring on Site-██. SCP-173, SCP-███, and SCP-7722 have all broken free of containment. The ███ onsite General Security Personnel has taken ██ casualties and are in need of MTF assistance from MTF E-11 "Nine Tails Fox." Advanced Armory has been authed for MTF E-11 "Nine Tails Fox" and they are currently approaching the onsite armory.

MTF E-11 CPL "Cope" : MAJ, what's the code so I can open the CL3 door?

MTF E-11 MAJ "Lions" : Here, let me come pu-

A random General Security Cadet emerges from his bunks with a illegally acquired CL3 card, runs up to the AA keypad, put in the code, and grabs every piece of AA and then lugs it into an elevator.

MTF E-11 SGT "Lazy" : Wtf, did that GSD Cadet with a CL3 just take all the AA?

MTF E-11 MAJ "Lions" : It appears so.

MTF E-11 forces responding to the breach were wiped out due to the fact that they had severely limited if any access to Advanced Armory. Reinforcements to the site accompanied by MTF Nu-7 "Hammer Down" were able to put the situation under control so that containment could be restored and all D-Class personnel below the classification of II are to be terminated and the remaining D-Class are to be escorted to the entrance zone of the site and wait for the site to be stabilized.
