What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Allow licenses to be handled by specific ranks / departments dependent on the license. Meaning staff would no longer be required .This will only discuss FOUNDATION licenses as I am unfamiliar with the UN / CI structure of licenses.
- Heavy Weapons and Riot control license. Captains+ being able to Give / revoke them.
- Medical Licenses. Consultants + being able to Give / Revoke them.
- Drivers, Snipers, & Armored vehicle licenses handled by Nu-7 COs+ , DEA Special Agents+
Site Admin & Site Command would also have control over licenses. Staff obviously would still have the power to strip licenses / give them
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Not that I have seen
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- Leadership roles having a QoL update.
- Being entrusted with the ability to host tryouts, should also come with the power of directly being able to handle the licensees that are closely related tot he role.
- Less staff involvement
- Not a massive issue, but would kill the sometimes little to long wait times for staff.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- Possible abuse (Though, easily revertible as roles can be stripped + licenses given back.)
- Dev time ( I would assume this would require the entire license system to be recoded)
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
Though being a very big change, I do believe this would have a lot more benefit overall, despite being more of a QoL for leadership roles. Though, If accepted, content would have to decide what levels / ranks will handle certain licenses for the GOIs.
Starting with the negatives. Specifically the chance of abuse. I don't think abuse would be to much of an issue. As you'd have to view the persons profile and also be willing to sacrifice a cl 4 role to strip / give out licenses. Which can easily be reverted by someone else of the same rank doing the same back.
Now for the positives. Overall this is a slight Quality of life update for leadership. Not having to wait for staff so easily being able to handle tryouts during low pop times / times when staff are busy. I would also argue its more logical that the people with the jurisdiction to give / take licenses. Should be able to do so without the need of staff.
