To the best of your knowledge, why were you blacklisted: When I joined the server I aw the blacklist for cheating screen with Star Wars. To this day, I do not know what specific action, clip or piece of evidence resulted in that conclusion.
The reason I initially speculated that it may have involved movement or shacking speed was because I had previously been brought into a sit by Harold Hawks. During the sit, Harold commented that my hacking speed looked suspicious and asked me to perform a hack. I successfully completed the hack and was allowed to continue to play for a long while after that, around a month or two. because of that prior interaction, it was the only explanation that came to mind after I later discovered I had been blacklisted.
However, I want to be completely clear that this was speculation based on previous staff interaction, not an admission of cheating. I have never used cheats, scripts, macros, third-party software, or any other unauthorized tools while playing on Civil Networks.
List any times you have used methods to change or hide your IP: I have occasionally connected to the server using Malwarebytes VPN while playing. This was not for ban evasion, alt accounts, nor for gaining any advantage in-game. Whenever playing, especially late into the night after work I liked to throw on some shows or movies while playing the server. Other than occasional VPN usage, I have always played from my normal home connection.
List any alt accounts: I do not have any alternate Steam accounts that I have used on Civil Networks, nor Garry's Mod for that matter.
Prior to this, have you ever been warned/kicked/banned/blacklisted: Yes. I have received warnings and a few bans in the past. A vast majority of them being roleplay-related offense like FailRP, FearRP, RDM, toxicity, or similar rule violations.
What will you do to stop this from happening again: Since I still do not know exactly what behavior or evidence led to the blacklist, I will promise to things I can and want to improve on if I am unblacklisted. I will be mindful of all the rules and refresh myself on all of the rules. I will be mindful of the levels of RP in the server and stop any and all FailRP (my main problem).
Why should you be unblacklisted: I should be unblacklisted because I did not cheat on Civil Networks. Looking back, I understand why my original appeal may have been denied. My wording was poor, I speculated about possible reasons for the blacklist, and I unintentionally made it seem as though I was admitting guilt when I was actually trying to understand what happened.
I have never used cheats, scripts, macros, or third-party software while playing on Civil networks. The only reason I referenced movement and hacking speed in my original appeal was because of prior staff interaction where my hacking speed had already been questioned and reviewed. I also had friends who got banned for bhopping while I was in a VC with them and they were screensharing. Those were the only explanations I could come up with for the reason to my ban.
I understand and appreciate the staff team removing actual cheaters from the community and I respect the staff team's responsibility to do so. However, I still maintain that I did not cheat and ask that my case be reconsidered. While I have received roleplay-related punishments in the past, cheating has never been one of them.
I have invested a significant amount of time into the server and genuinely enjoy being part of the community. I am simply asking for another opportunity and a fresh review of the circumstances that led to the blacklist.
