Content Suggestion Chemical Storage Logs

Content Suggestions will be reviewed by Content Team weekly, please allow time as not everything can be reviewed at once.
What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
[Adds the ability for the chemical lockers to have logs used by Non staff.]

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
[Unsure]

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
[Gives a Roleplay aspect to finding out who takes a lot of chems out and in, specificly in medical where most of the infection curing chemicals get stolen and not replaced. It would allow for instance a consultant to see "Ah Jerry Bacon has repeatedly taken out chemicals out of the locker and not replaced them, they will get a temp job ban for theft (Or something along those lines)]

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
[chemicals thieves cannot hide any more? I guess.]

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
[It's repeatedly frustrating for Medical personel to have to reifll the lockers everytime just so the flow of RP can go quickly with Curing infections, Nobody wants to sit around for 2-3 minutes while the doctor makes a new batch of medicine because someone didn't replace the 2L of Chlorophenamine they took out.
It is usually required to call on staff to see who accessed it, and with the "public" log system (different from the staff one) Staff are spared an extra sit having to skim through the logs to see if Jerry Bacon took the things or not.]

+support I was going to suggest this myself soon but just couldn't find the time or way to do so. Wish this could be implemented in a more rp friendly way but honestly it's gotten out of hand the way people flag into easily accessible jobs, steal a bunch of chems, and either leave them on the floor to despawn or take them for hoarding.

There was this just over half a year ago:
Disagreed with the denial reasoning then, disagree with it now.

I'll repeat what I said there: At the very least, let RP leadership positions be able to do something about this, chem theft is a massively widespread problem and it devalues fridges because it makes people not want to use them if the chems they want to pool together for a given regiment/department end up just being stolen. Chem theft is hard to tackle because of the combination of unavailability of the requisite Staff able to review the legs, how janky the logs are and how often they clear, meaning that a lot of chem theft goes unpunished, simply because we couldn't figure out who did it.

If RP leadership roles can determine who stole chems, that info can be brought to the relevant staff and the individual in question punished as appropriate. It won't completely eliminate the issue of not being able to identify thieves, but it'd at least be good mitigation.

At least, that's what I recall from my experience as a UK E-11 CPT - Idk if it's any different nowadays, but I doubt it's changed all that much.

In RSD we've had to put our chems behind cl4 coded doors just to keep them from getting stolen. I would totally give access to lower ranks if there was a system in place to hold them accountable

The fridge we had in the DOR office (US) was, for whatever reason, accessible to any Researcher job. SCPs would come and break our office door so that others could steal from our fridge, and there's just a bunch of shit floating around now because of that. We asked to get it fixed, got told no, so I think this might be a better alternative so we know who the fuck is stealing our shit.
