Content Suggestion CMissions QoL adjustments/additions

Content Suggestions will be reviewed by Content Team weekly, please allow time as not everything can be reviewed at once.
What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
Changes some values and locations of CMissions, alongside adding some new functionalities to make them more fair for long-term RP.

General Changes:
  • For missions like anomaly extraction where a huge health/progress bar pops up, make it so it doesn't cover half your screen and make retaking or assaulting the relevant areas impossible due to lack of vision. Perhaps making it integrated with the UI that pops up on the left side of the screen that could be used to show HP or progress for these missions.
  • Get rid of all missions that are locked behind commonly closed doors, like Lakehouse, the Far East House in Pinewood, or PD. (This is more optional, but it would be nice for CI since low rank CI can't get them open.
  • For missions similar to the GRU Terminal hack, don't start the timers until they become unlocked or interactable, this would allow for longer missions in total, making it a higher chance that one team completes it.
  • Make all CMissions notify what the opposing team is, so crossfire wouldn't be involved and confusion wouldn't arise.

Infiltration: 2 options,
A: Increase the timer to 1200-1500 seconds, currently the timer is barely long enough for someone to get all checkpoints and then RTB afterwards.
B: Remove the need to group up at a rendevous, all this does is delay the mission being completed, and is bypassed by just dying and then regrouping.
Also, PLEASE make it so infil missions also pop up for the defenders, so we know what's gonna happen. The time increase would help facilitate this.
I'd also like to explore the idea of making Infils a mission for defenders as well, so if they managed to hold for 20-25 minutes, they win the mission with the same rewards as the attackers.


Anomaly Extraction Mission:
Decrease the timer to 900 seconds so it doesn't last ages, and diversify some of it's locations (preferably away from Pinewood so UNGOC DMZ's don't suffer from the OOC grey areas that CMissions give.)

Reality Manipulation:
Make the actual anchors further away from eachother, or out of direct line of sight from eachother so one side can't just shoot from their anchor and kill the other team from there. (UK issue I believe)

Vehicle Recon:
Keep it as it is right now, it's fine. I don't mind the rendevous thing for this one because you still need to be in a vehicle and dying during this mission doesn't happen very often.

GRU Terminal Hack:
Increase difficulty to CL5. It's so easy for me at least. (I'd need more feedback on this, not exactly a necessary change.)
Make the timer to pick up slightly shorter, by around 20-30 seconds.

Intelligence Capture:

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
Unsure, quite possibly but I'd need to look far back (wont happen).

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
  • Would allow significantly more clarity into the situation you are going into when doing a CMission.
  • Improves QoL, specifically the HP/Progress bar changes and the rendevous changes for infils.
  • Makes CMissions be capable of being completed by either side.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
  • Balancing for warfunds, this would need to be considered for the upcoming warfunds update and if any prices were to be changed.
  • Because (for some reason) the CMission locations are not the same between servers, this would need to be tweaked on both servers.
  • Development time, although some of what I asked for already existed on MRP, like the notifying of what factions/regiments were involved in CMissions.

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:

Currently, CMissions are one of the most messy, and annoying rule gray areas to deal with, especially on UK when it comes to Infils and other CMissions inside a DMZ. I hope that these changes would assist in clarifying a lot of the issues that CMissions cause, such as potential crossfire between GoIs, timers, and other QoL issues like the HP/Progress bar changes, and the removal of the rendevous requirement for infils.
I'll add more positives and negatives as the suggestion evolved via the responses, so I hope to get more feedback so I can change stuff around for the suggestion.
 
+Support to all BUT infils timer.
They're basically a free raid, causing quite the disturbance already. Making it longer just amplifies the issue, and I have seen CI win infiltrations quite often, it's just a numbers issue for GOC specifically.
So, you want option B? It’s either the timer increase, or getting rid of the need for a rendevous point.

But what I'd change:
Vehicle recon - The time you're given is already so short, if you're doing scavving and the thing pops up you have to run all the way to base across the entire region just to BARELY make it. It certainly needs a timer increase, the map recce locations aren't that bad but if you're gonna go cross-country with a hummer then you absolutely need a time increase

GRU terminals - No Aphex, sorry. I respect the flex but increasing it to CL5 would just make it a pain; CL4 is annoying as is and having to sit there for longer would just make it unfun. Potentially something could be added like a door fault one which rewards you more but is CL5 so people with both skill levels are able to enjoy it and be rewarded accordingly

cl4s can be hacked way too fast compared to CL5's, if you kill the person hacking theres literally no point in coming back as the mission is already done (both arent even that hard??)

What would be a good timer increase? Because the point of the mission is to be difficult. I feel like making it even a minute longer would make the mission trivial. Perhaps just a 30 second increase?

Of all the things I would be flexing, being able to consistently hack a CL5 aint one of em.
I like the idea of making a separate hacking option to increase the reward gained, but what would the rewards include? I feel like just simply more money or more warfunds isn’t gonna cut it. Perhaps an even better weapon upgrade (125% increase) or a better hacking upgrade (-2 hacking levels). I’m not sure how’d this would play out.
