What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
[This suggestion addresses the current limitation where commisioned officers (such as myself, a Nu-7 LT) cannot credit Enlisted or NCOs unless they are on their designated officer job slot. For example, if I’m on the Specialist job (due to Officer slots being full), I lose the ability to credit members despite holding the proper rank.
This change would allow recognized officers to credit others regardless of the specific job they’re playing—provided they still belong to the regiment and meet the clearance criteria.]
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
[Not to my knowledge. If it has, this version is specific to the crediting system under the recent battalion rank-based clearance update and focuses on resolving slot-based restrictions without breaking rank integrity.]
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
[COs+ will be able to reward good performance consistently, even when they're not in their officer job.
Prevents delays or missed opportunities for crediting due to job slot limitations—especially useful during high-pop times when Officer slots are full.]
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
[It may require backend changes or permissions adjustments, depending on how crediting is currently tied to job slots.]
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
[This suggestion removes unnecessary limitations on COs, allowing them to carry out their responsibilities more effectively. It improves regimental workflow, ensures deserving members are credited in a timely manner, and supports overall activity—even when officer+ job slots are unavailable.]
