What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
-As it is, there is currently an 80 minute cooldown from the moment the current type-blue dies to when another player can become the type-blue. My suggestion is to decrease this time from 80 minutes to 40 minutes.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
-The current nature of the server is that it is very rare for Class-D to escape legitimately (people often get the help of their friends playing other roles to give them guns, open restricted access areas, etc.). I have logged over 100 hours on the server, primarily as a D-class, and have only escaped 1 time. Decreasing the cooldown would create just a tad bit more opportunity for D-class to escape that would make the D-class experience more captivating and overall enjoyable.
-Making the class more accessible would motivate more players to grind to total level 75, thus garnering more players for the server that are exploring the different roles as they attempt to increase their overall level.
-It would create more dynamic pvp scenarios for foundation security as they won't simply be fighting the same knife or prokolot wielding D-class for the 100th time in a row.
-While this may be considered speculative, I think that people would be less inclined to cheat by having their friends play different roles to help them escape if there were more opportunities with type-blue. If there is more potential for D-class to be able to escape legitimately, I feel like most people would choose that over breaking the rules so often and risking a ban.
-Researchers will have more D-class to experiment on, and security would likely become more active in their efforts when it comes to locking down D-block during a riot, because that would be a good opportunity for D-class to escape.

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
-While I know most suggestions tend to leave out of the negatives because they believe their suggestion is 100% correct, I truly believe there are little to no negatives with making this change. The only issue I could see is maybe too many D-class escaping, but I firmly believe this is not the case as a competent team of security should be able to quell most escape attempts. This just makes the possibility to escape a little greater.

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
-This suggestion should be accepted because it would truly heighten the experience of playing as a D-class. Recently, I feel as though there has been an extreme imbalance in foundation security and staff compared to D-class. With this change, I am confident that there will be a rise in D-class players and will ultimately make the experience more enjoyable for everyone. Thanks :)

I genuinely believe deducting the waiting time for type blue in half could add many opportunity's in D-Block and add much more immersion and interactions among other players.

Gensec need something good in their life, That cooldown makes their players actually want to hop back onto the server
D-class rarely ever escape, gensec just gets to farm them. Do people struggle that bad with one person that is only there every hour and a half?

in the past d-class have consistently gotten out of dblock, It just takes a small amount of leadership to overwhelm the unorganized gensec
(Do better)
Sure, d-class can get out of d-block every now and then, but barely anyone ever escapes the faciltiy (legitimately that is). With no access to guns or high level keycards it is virtually impossible. I challenge anyone on the forums to play D-class for a day and see how hard it is to escape legitimately.

Despite Gensec having good guns they consistently die to D-class, Dclass basically have a infinite supply of CL3 cards, F90s and other good guns, Gensec have a 30 second after dying where they run to dblock, Just push forward

"Dclass basically have a infinite supply of CL3 cards, F90s and other good guns," How. Where do we get an "infinite supply" of CL3 cards and good guns??

Whilst I do agree they should get a shorter cooldown, I think 40 minutes is too little. Whenever TB get on they almost always cause a riot or escape. Yesterday in the middle of a test a TB saved me and breached 3 SCPs.
Thank you for this comment. I agree that 40 minutes might be too short. And to add to my post after speaking to 3 different admins I finally got a definitive answer on how long the cooldown really is. It can range anywhere from 1 hour to 2 and a half hours. So to add to my suggestion I also think that the time interval should be less randomized, i.e. a 45-90 minute range. I think thats the most fair.

personally type blue is op and should never really try and escape they are better at killing/helping escapes due to decay and the way they regenerate. however i think type blue is better for dblock if played by someone who knows how to use it i do feel like it is wasted quite a bit but that's a skill issue. making it more available will just mean constant chaos in dblock constant riots etc. etc. less skilful escapes and more just waiting for it and rushing every time as the cooldown starts as soon as it is picked

would be better if the requirement for it was better. The same way scouts course all the problems in dblock most of the time. Add combat level and maybe achievement level. Type blue in the right hands is incredible in the wrong hands well literally nothing

As someone who escapes a lot. i get out way more as a scout then anything else type blue just makes a chain of effects

At least for me, I would love to play TB more (it doesn't help someone gets it 2 seconds after I try to be it) but I feel 40 minutes is to little. I agree with you that currently it is overly long but if I were to suggest this, perhaps an hour would be better. It is hard though as some people are right, organised D-Class can cause havoc and GENSEC sometimes struggle enough already.

Speaking from gensec's side, having a type blue every 80-odd minutes is already frustrating enough, and the spots stack, so if someone lived for 40 minutes (with enough inversion/field kits) they could instantly get back on tb.

The whole point of the role is that it isn't always available.

I understand why this might seem like a good idea for d-class players, but when you play GENSEC and realise how much of a pain TB is as it can completely stop roleplay such as escorts for tests etc.
