Dylan's Lore
As a member of the Internal Security Department, Dylan has had his fair shair of investigations. One of those investigations eventually brought him to the offices of the Research Department. There he would find SCP-NA-PAINTING along with a member of RSD, Carnis Soul. After prolonged exposure to SCP-NA-PAINTING, Mr Soul told Dylan that the only way to safe his life would be exposure to the Void. Hesitant at first, Dylan took his advise and entered the Void for the first time. Mr Soul sent him on a journey through the Void, where Dylan eventually got lost, unable to find the way out alone. After a rescue party was dispatched, Dylan was returned safely from the Void, though mentally scarred from the vast emptyness.During the time between his first exposure and the Void expedition, Dylan started to develop a form of PTSD towards anything dark and alternate dimension related matters, but something inside him also felt drawn towards the dark and empty, spending more and more time within ISD's interrogation rooms.
Once Dylan got wind of the Void expedition happening, he at first hesitated to join, appealing to Mr Soul that this would be a terrible idea. But that strange pull towards the Void got the better of him and he joined said expedition. As expected, the expedition went terribly wrong with several Foundation Staff loosing their lives. Through seemingly sheer luck, Dylan made it out alive, but something was growing inside him. This second prolonged exposure has planted something inside him. First forming as a black scar across his face, this affliction quickly grew and took more of his physical form, only stopping after taking his eye and the right side of his face.
Through several talks with members of RSD, he learned that a Void Entity has taken root within his soul and is spreading within him, causing both minor and major changes to his appearance and psyche. Research ensured him that he should be safe, as long as he's doing frequent check ups with them to monitor his symptoms.
The most obvious of those symptoms being the scarring on his face along with a faint shadow trail following his every step. This shadow, according to RSD, is a partial manifastion of the Void Entity within him, unable to fully materialize itself further and instead resorting to anchor itself through Dylan's presence. It is also noted that a slight change in Dylan's voice was recorded, sounding like a second voice is slightly taking over his while also trapped within him.
A second syptom is the ability of localized gravity manipulation, similar to the effects of the gravitation manipulation devices (commonly known as Gravity Gun) found in the standard equipment of all Foundation Staff. This allows Dylan lift smaller, lightweight objects with ease, in a manner similar to a low-level reality benders. This leads to the theory that the Entity planted in him is also a reality bender at nature, however Dylan himself has shown no further reality bending abilities.
While the symptoms have seemingly stopped there, any further escalations should immediately be reported to the Research Department for further analyses and possible classification.
