What Ethics Committee role are you applying for, and why:
I am applying for the role of ECM (Ethics Committee Member) as i've always wanted to help drive RP within the server and help ensure that everyone has a fun experience whether its through engaging RP, to ensuring people have something to do. This could be achieved by observing tests conducted by RSD that have questionable ethical implications, ensuring ISD and Omega-1 work together to catch FLC violators and face justice, to meetings with the O5 Council to help relieve tensions when they start flaring up on site to avoid a war as i believe diplomacy should always be the first course of action to avoid unnecessary bloodshed.
I would also like to start taking a more active role with regards to tribunals in order to help facilitate RP around serious violations similar to the Foundation Vs RAISA, or Foundation Vs Charles Whitmee tribunals that took place within the past couple of months and see ECM as the next logical step after Director of Internal Security as both entities work closely together to enforce the FLC and ensure that the foundation maintains its humanity instead of slipping into a similar role as the CI.
I also wish to start engaging in more RP creation across the whole site rather than just within small sections of the site or individual departments, potentially involving scenarios that involve wider foundation affairs for other departments.

What makes you the best candidate for the Ethics Committee?:
I have worked closely with the Committee for a while thanks to my role within ISD to help enforce the FLC as well working closely with other departments to help ensure they are treated fairly by ISD. I believe if I were to get the position of ECM I could help various departments more effectively by ensuring both sides are heard and any agreements or disagreements are mediated fairly between the two parties.
On top of this, I strive to maintain a philosophy of hearing both sides of an argument to get a clearer picture and then use what I can from both sides to find a fairer compromise between people rather than just jumping straight to the "I trust this person over you more, so tough" mentality. With this in mind, I understand that the EC are to remain indifferent to the various departments within the foundation, which makes them the best for dealing with more sensitive situations that may spill over into conflict within the site.
In terms of things i have done in my time as Internal Security Director that would make me a good candidate, I have worked closely with other departments as the director in charge of Inter-Departmental Liaisons as well as Investigations and Operations to work on agreements with various departments to help build better relations with ISD and other parties. As well as working on a plan to bring ISD to a more lore accurate version of itself where ISD infiltrate other departments and act as members of those departments while answering to ISD leadership in order to have ISD act as a sort of deep cover within the foundation to gather evidence on POI's in order to build cases for an arrest or a potential tribunal depending on the situation.
I was also involved with the ISD vs E-11 incident revolving around their Custos Armorum sub regiment where ISD infiltrated E-11 with the goal of being recruited into CA to monitor their activities which stemmed from a botched amnestication attempt on a nearly promoted commissioner by the E-11 LTCOM.
Another event happened a few weeks ago where ISD were called as a DEA agent who had been inside the CI base undercover was acting erratically. ISD CL4 and DEA CL4 responded where we discovered he had been injected with 096 samples and was also administered Class-F with the sole purpose of breaching 096. E-11 were able to detain the individual as they attempted to enter 096's containment chamber and move him to med bay where ISD were the first to arrive. Upon questioning the individual myself and the DEA Dpt. Manager Mac as well, We deemed him to be compromised where he was swiftly terminated (The agent chose to treat this as a PK)
And the last event on DoISD was over the weekend (before my LOA, and treated as my LOA event) where a half eaten body was found in the medbay medicine fridge, where it was revealed a combat medic was eating the body after saying in comms he was “Hungry” over and over. When we moved the body to quarantine, we remembered that the combat medic in question was in possession of a parasite which was also infected with the cordyceps fungus, while the parasite was destroyed, it was revealed that Jason had been previously infected and medical had forgot to sanitize the medbay fridges and dispose of all the medication in there, leading to a potential site wide infection. Thankfully the infection was contained to only four people, Zoey Myers, Ehrendil, Karl Vik, and Luigi Fishford, the parasite attempted to take control and the GOC had to get involved due to a potential surface breach earlier on in the day. Upon receiving treatment from Alric Thorne, Ehrendil, whose infection was more severe than the others, slipped into a coma, and is currently confined to the medbay.
Other examples of times I've had to step outside my usual duties to handle situations would be when we had a massive 008 breach. Two techies fled from the the inner facility, and towards the compound, Me and two NU7 enlisted gunned them down before they could escape and cause a containment breach, we then held outside the garage doors once 008 was called out as having entered the inner garage where i ordered both NU7 to shoot anyone who comes through the garage doors on site, no matter who it is due to NU7 leadership being tied down inside the site and unresponsive on comms. Once the 008 breach in the garage was contained, we moved back into the garage and held at the doors, warning everyone to not approach the compound or face termination.
I have also began working with DoEA Duffy on the creation of a joint task force to operate in secret throughout the facility with the ultimate goal of hunting down traitors and dealing with them outside the standard ISD/DEA as part of our push to make ISD and DEA more lore accurate while keeping it within the limitations of the server.
As for RP on O-1, i have mostly been involved in evidence gathering, as well as escort duties so have been more of a passenger in wider RP scenarios, like the time ECM Patel was detained by O5-3 because of his bodycam capturing something it shouldn’t have, as well as the AO war which stemmed from a disagreement around A1 and O5-3 conducting an audit on the ECO, and O-1 bunks. I also took part in the R.A.I.S.A vs Ethics Committee RP event where myself and two others had to move an unconscious Omega-1 CSG back to bunks, then to medical after R.A.I.S.A trapped him in a time distortion within his own mind, where he perceived years passing, while only about 30-60 minutes had passed.
I have also interrogated multiple individuals for information.

Overall the main RP’s i intend to be involved with is working alongside the RSD department so that Ehrendil can better understand the SCP’s the foundation currently has in containment, as well as working alongside the medical leadership team by assisting them with whatever we can provide to help them further their goals in the field of medicine.
I would also assist ISD by helping to ensure their new tribunal framework proposal is up to scratch and help get it implemented to allow for more RP to be generated.
With regards to O-1 i would try to remain hands off for the most part as they have a competent CO team, but would assist them where needed, and provide the odd order to investigate certain rising factions within the foundation from time to time. On top of that I would try to ensure they always have something to engage with during downtimes between orders by keeping observations on various departments as I'm going around the site, then ensuring O-1 has the information required to begin investigating potential threats to the committee or to the foundation as a whole. I would also want to potentially work with the GM team to potentially set up events every so often to allow O-1 to flex their intel gathering skills and put a hostile faction within the foundation down outside of the Lima-3 RP..
As for the O5’s I would attempt to continue to assist them with the ongoing Lima-3 situation while also conducting my own investigation into the matter utilising Omega-1’s skills at infiltration to find out more about their plans.

What are the responsibilities of the Ethics Committee in RP?:
- Maintaining an air of meek pencil pushers.
- Act as advisors to the O5 council in ensuring that the council understands what is and isn’t acceptable to maintain the mission statement.
- The removal of the O5 council via Omega-1 as a last resort should the O5 council fail to adhere to the mission statement.
- Liaise with the O5 council to ensure that all decisions that affect the foundation fall within the parameters of the mission statement and ensure all foundation staff at any level are held accountable for their actions.
- Overseeing the FLC and making additions or edits where necessary to ensure effective communication and understanding by all parties.
- Judges for tribunals
- Working with the current regimental command of O-1 to ensure the unit is operating effectively and efficiently, and supporting them where needed.
- Ensuring that code black, site wide amnestication, detonation of the alpha warhead, ERT and termination of D-Class (Mass termination) are handled correctly and effectively (to ensure server health)
- Liaise with the ISD to ensure the department is running efficiently and remove the current directors should they not be performing their duties. Or for gross negligence during their duties.
- Ensure that D-Class are treated properly and that their living standards are up to scratch depending on what classification the current Class-D fall under.
- Ensuring assistants are properly managed, and have tasks to perform, while also being responsible should those orders lead to consequences.
- Weighing the cost vs benefits of every action taken to ensure that the ends justify the means, no matter how cold or heartless it may seem, so long as the mission statement is upheld and it ensures the continued survival of humanity.
- Converse with various anomalous humanoid SCP’s to ensure that they aren’t being mistreated and that their living conditions are adequate to ensure continued containment.
