Character name(s): Frederick Poon
Civilian name: Mr.P
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): SCP-RP USA

List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held: I haven't held any MTF, CI or whitelisted roles.
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
I have a few warnings due to negligence. I have a bhopping warning which I received on UK, and an RDM warning which happened in D-Block as a D-Class. I also recently received an Accidental Entity Spam warning as I bought too many pots while messing around as a CI.

Why are you applying for Director of Research?:
I'm applying for Director of Research because I believe I’m ready to take on a leadership role that not only shapes the direction of the research department, but also supports and uplifts the researchers within it. As an Executive Researcher, I’ve gained experience managing/overseeing experiments, mentoring/onboarding junior personnel, and upholding the standards expected of Site-65, and I want to expand that impact.
This position would give me the chance to guide the department toward more organized and valuable research, while also creating an environment where creativity and professionalism can thrive together. I’ve seen the impact that strong leadership can have, and I want to offer that same support to others, whether that involves managing paperwork, approving research proposals and studies, or being someone people can count on to talk to about their future in research, I’m ready to take on that responsibility.
I’ve built strong working relationships across departments and know how important collaboration is, especially when dealing with sensitive or anomalous material. I’ve worked closely with ISD to support the betterment of Research and ensure our work remains professional and secure. On another note, I also want to set a standard within the department that the HCZ is not our territory to "own", but that that E-11’s presence is there to protect us. Stepping into the Director role would give me the opportunity to reinforce these values and keep Research a respected, organized, and dependable asset to the site.

What makes you suitable for Director of Research?:
I have held the Executive Researcher position for over a month and have consistently shown that I can handle the responsibilities of a CL4 member. I enjoy bringing enrichment to the facility through roleplay, hosting activities, and onboarding junior personnel to help them feel welcomed and supported. My goal is to make sure every member of Research enjoys their time and has the tools they need to succeed.
I also enjoy participating in directives and missions assigned to Research by the Ethics Committee, Site Administration, and Site Inspection. I recently took the lead on a directive to help expand its impact and roleplay potential, working closely with a member of Site Inspection to ensure its continued relevance and success.

What are the responsibilities of the Director of Research in RP?:
The Director of Research has a wide range of responsibilities. They are expected to oversee the Executive Research team, making sure each one is fulfilling their role while also keeping an eye on the overall behavior and productivity of the Research Department and it's personnel. It’s their job to keep all guidelines and documentation current with the site's ongoing developments and to handle any violations of those policies, whether that be the CoE, CoC, or even our research handbook. The Director of Research should also work to improve the overall research experience by creating opportunities for both Research and other departments to engage in meaningful roleplay and put their ideas/plans into action. The Director of Research is responsible for making sure the actions of the Research Department do not negatively affect the server as a whole. (As what's been happening as of late.)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please give some lore about your Director of Research character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Dr. Frederick Poon is a researcher with a fragmented past. After an incident involving an Ethics Committee Member, he was given Class-E amnestics, and now he has forgotten important parts of his history regarding the faces of his parents. The only memory that remains, although unclear and incomplete, is of a car crash that took their lives.
Beneath the paperwork and semi open-door policy of research lies a deeper and hidden responsibility, leadership of the Vitalis Initiative - aptly named Vitalis Continuum, a directive issued directly by the Overseers. The project operates outside the oversight of the Ethics Committee and is designed to explore the regenerative and destructive properties of SCP-682 when applied to human test subjects with severe physical trauma. What began as classified research has grown into something more, as the Overseer now expects Dr. Frederick Poon to carry it forward, grab the mantle and shape its next phase.
The strain of managing this directive in secret while still guiding the Research Department with professionalism adds a quiet weight to every decision they make. Their storylines often involve ethical gray areas, hidden meetings, and decisions that blur the line between advancement and abuse. As Site-65’s Director of Research, they must balance public leadership with the confidential demands of the Initiative. They know full well that discovery by the Ethics Committee could destroy everything.
Regarding the Ethics Committee, Dr. Frederick Poon is working with them on a secret directive involving technology that O-1 recovered during a raid on the Chaos Insurgency terror cell on the surface. Research on this device is still ongoing in secret, as this project carries significant weight and could greatly influence the future activities of Site-65.
