For how long have you played on CG SCP: About 2 months now, but I originally played around 2 years ago on the USA server.
Age: 22
In what country are you located?: Uk
Time zone: GMT +0
Character name(s): Alan 'Half' Buckland, Simon Roberts
Civilian name: John smith
What server are you applying for?: SCP-RP UK
Do you have a mic?: Yes
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
Holding:
Executive Researcher
E-11 Specialist
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?: Nope
What makes you the best candidate for Ethics Committee Assistant?:
I like to think I am a calm and patient person who is able to deal with all sorts of people, no matter how annoying they may be acting, and my time as an Executive Researcher has given me an understanding of how being a CL4 member of staff works. Thanks to my Executive Researcher role, I have also gained experience interacting with all the different departments around the site. I have also had to deal with a lot of documents as an Executive Researcher, so I would be fine with handling any documents I may have to deal with as an ECA. Finally, I would love to have another way to RP on this server and help create interesting RP when possible.
What are the responsibilities of Ethics Committee Assistants in RP?:
The main responsibilities of an Ethics Committee Assistant in RP are to carry out orders from the Ethics Committee and ensure they are completed correctly, with assistance from Omega-1 when needed. They are also responsible for ensuring that the FLC is being followed By all departments and can utilize the tribunal system if necessary. In addition, ECAs have the authority to approve access to the advanced armoury in the event of a severe containment breach involving multiple dangerous SCPs escaping containment. Ethics Committee Assistants are also the first point of contact for most personnel when it comes to communicating with the Ethics Committee about any issues or concerns the department may have. ECA also has all the normal duties of a Cl4 member of staff.
Please give some lore about your Ethics Committee Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Foundation Files
Name: Simon Roberts
Age: 28
Place of Birth: ████████, Berkshire, United Kingdom
Department: ISD
Clearance: CL3
At 18, Simon decided he wanted to become a lawyer out of the blue, so he left his current job at ████████ and started looking into universities to attend for this. Soon after, Simon began studying law at the University of █████ for the next couple of years. Although Simon grew up in a nice environment, away from all the troubles in the world, at the age of 20 while still studying Law, he witnessed the troubling homeless problem that had started to grip his town. While a lot of people in his area disliked and blamed the homeless for the situation, Simon decided he would help them as much as he could. He started volunteering at homeless shelters, making food and drinks.
At the age of 23, Simon finished his Law degree and started working as a Lawyer for ████████. Most of Simon's early career was spent defending low-level cases within the courts. He found his time as a lawyer quite boring until one interesting case in 20██. On 8/5/20██, a case was given to Simon to defend a man who had apparently kidnapped and ████████ at least 12 people. There was little to no evidence for these crimes, and Simon was confused. While looking through the papers, a group of men came to talk to Simon. They strongly indicated that they wanted this man in jail and that he should throw the case.
When questioned, the group of men would not tell him who they were or where they worked. Knowing this was wrong, Simon decided not to throw the case. Instead, he fought harder than he ever had before, and in the end, the man was found innocent. One day, about three weeks after this, Simon was taken by the same group of men who had tried to make him throw the case. He was taken to an unknown location, where they kept him in a dark room for what felt like days before they finally took him for an interview. Simon does not like to talk much about what happened in that “interview,” but he was later given a job at what he now knows to be the SCP Foundation, as a member of the Internal Security Department.
At the Foundation:
Simon spent his first couple of years at Site-██ as a member of the ISD. There, he worked to ensure that people followed the FLC while being fair and understanding to all whom he arrested for breaking it. He enjoyed his time as an ISD Agent but felt he could do more for the Foundation as a whole. After about three years at Site-██, Simon began to feel bored with his job at the Foundation, feeling like he wasn’t achieving much. Not long after, Simon was offered the chance to transfer to Site-65, which he accepted.
At Site-65, he spent the first couple of months as an ISD Agent, performing duties much the same as he had at Site-██. After some time and continued good work as an ISD Agent, Simon was chosen to take part in an interview with the Ethics Committee about a job as an Assistant.
Possible Storylines:
Simon Roberts is a new character to me, so right now I am not fully sure what storylines he may be a part of. Personally, I hope to be able to work closely with RSD to possibly find a way to ethically remove the powers from Type Blue D-class when they arise.

Pre-Foundation:
Simon spent his early years in ████████, Berkshire, with his parents. Growing up in a higher middle-class household meant Simon had a pretty easy childhood, never having to worry about much money-wise. Most of Simon's childhood was spent going on trips around the UK and sometimes to other parts of the world. School life for Simon was pretty average, he comfortably passed through school, getting normal grades, nothing too special
