ISD DNA scanner device

What does this suggestion change/add/remove:<br>
Add a device for ISD to check the DNA of an individiual. The result would say their Name, and Job (IE D-Class 8434 Dwight Mustard). This will give an agent the ability to investigate disguised or 914ed D-Class or other foundation individuals. I think it is realistic to be able to have the DNA records of all D-Class and foundation personell at the site. It may be withen a realm of possibility that Civis, GOC, and CI would even be in the foundations DNA database.

I think a stationary device that gives you a DNA Syringe to sample with and then return to the device for analysis would be good for RP.

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:<br>

I like this idea but this should involve medical more too making to where you need a medical and a ISD to set up a checkpoint would make it balanced for fakes and foundation.

The idea is very similar to this planned feature, but the problem is that this specific feature is in development hell.

I don't mind it being contextualised like this though, if anything that this idea creates could contribute to that.

I cant find the suggestion right now but someone suggested something nearly identical in the last couple months in the form of a "retina scanner" rather than a DNA scanner. It was denied because they thought it would be too powerful iirc.

I also heard someone mention how a similar thing existed on another server and it made it absolutely miserable/impossible for any disguised stuff to work because there were impenetrable checkpoints set up everywhere. Giving all ISD these devices is a recipe to end all desire for infiltration unless major balancing changes are considered (takes 30 seconds? Long cooldown? Chance of failure? Hackable server to enter identity into database? All of the above?)

Although let me say I HATE the current usage of EST in the server. It kills most interrogation rp and has 0 counterplay. I would love a suitable replacement or even a rule against its usage for identifying fakes.

In conclusion, with some edits this could be interesting but I do not currently support this suggestion

What i was thinking is a stationary device in ISD that cant be moved, you take the people to ISD to get checked. The syringe can have a 60s timer on it perhaps to ensure people do not carry it around with them.
