Why are you applying for Internal Security Inspector?
I have three main reasons for applying:
Focused Interest in ISD:
My main objective when rejoining the server was to focus on ISD. I had been working with Internal Affairs primarily prior to joining Nu-7, and I've always enjoyed active roleplaying such as operations and investigations, e.g., those organized by DEA and ISD. In the past, I wanted to be an IA Ambassador but was inexperienced and immature in professionalism and responsibility. I believe that I am mature enough for that now.
Dedication and Thoughtful Insight:
I believe that ISD would benefit from my dedication and thought. I am seriously looking at the departments that I enjoy playing in and always consider significant improvements. For example, I would be asking myself, "What is the category of such a fraud?" or "How do we craft fair and effective punishments for lower clearance employees committing serious FLC violations?" My professional experience in different Jr. CL4 roles has also imparted in me a sharp awareness of the workings of different departments.
Professional Development and RP Opportunities:
I believe ISD will help me with professional growth and advance my server career to new levels. I see ISD as a more senior Department above others. and like to pursue truth in all departments with integrity, respect, and quality RP. That's the kind of Department I would love to be a part of and help build, and create more fun and exciting RP experiences for the server as a whole.
What makes you suitable for Internal Security Inspector?:
I have Double Jr CL4 experience. And have been an active member of ISD. I have helped in operation "Broken Trust" and have been doing that for quite a while. I have formatted all the evidence and have given other evidence too. I also take full responsibility for my failures and do not shift the blame to others. I don't blame other people for my mistakes. And I teach them to other people if that happens. I also know how to do good RP but not perfectly, which I am still learning.
What do you think describes an ideal Internal Security Inspector?:
An Internal Security Inspector, to me, is someone who is both in-game and out-of-game active, constantly doing their job. An Inspector, in-game, has the responsibility of leading ISD members, handing out Points of Interest (POIs), reviewing documents composed by agents, and recuiting new players in the ways of being ISD Agents. They also play a very important role in inter departmental relations, so they need to be professional and respectful at all times.
Out of game, Inspectors perform tasks such as roster updates, creating and maintaining important Google documents, and responding to inquiries from ISD members or others regarding ISD business through external communications. Overall, they are important in keeping the structure, integrity, and functionality of ISD as a whole.
How many documents have you written? What makes a document good?:
DEA Agent Guide:
This is a step by step, photo supported manual covering basic things such as "How to Cook and Prepare Cyanide" and "What to Do If Kidnapped." I believe that this manual is unique from other training manuals in that it cuts to the point and makes it fun, yet still covers a wide range of important questions new agents have. The use of photos and brief formatting helps to make the content more readable and enjoyable.
AM-HU-N-X24-X ("Holy Water") Research Document:
This is a half finished research document for a superdrug that would be useful to SOP units for Chaos Insurgency raids. It includes a compound ID, formal index, and other elements that are consistent with good research documentation. It was not finished, but I had fun doing it.
Arrest Report: DoR Jia Maxo:
This report was marked "excellent" and included a photograph of the detainee, arresting officer's name, comms log, and timeline verified by use of bodycam footage and commissioner verification. I liked writing this report it had extra detail that made it more than just a wall of text. It was formatted and informative, and it included everything that was required for the arrest of a Senior Clearance Level 4 individual.
What makes a "good" document also depends on what it's for and which department. A research paper style GENSEC guide would be inappropriate. GENSEC documents need to be fun and fast. However, you wouldn't, for instance, want to give cadets a 10 page document about airlocks, they won't read that much information because they are Cadets, and hate it.
Formatting is important as well. A document with no titles, structure, or recognizable sections is hard to read and comprehend. Individuals should be able to know what section of the topic they're reading about at a glance.
Most important, however, is that a document actually does what it is being put to. If it doesn't inform, guide, or assist in some helpful way, it's a waste of time. Of course, smaller points like word choice and grammar are important as well, but structure, clarity, and relevance are the substance of what makes any document helpful.
What are the responsibilities of the Internal Security Inspector in RP?:
An ISD Inspector has several basic responsibilities that are part of making the department successful and reputable. The following are what I believe to be the most important aspects of the job:
Training New ISD Members
Training is a vital part of being an Inspector. It enables the department to expand and become inclusive and open to all players. Well structured and informative training sessions produce competent and confident ISD Agents, thus making the entire department stronger.
Special Investigations
Inspectors are equipped with tools and powers that ordinary ISD Agents do not have. These strengths need to be utilized correctly to uncover hidden or sensitive facts that would otherwise be left undiscovered. This adds more depth to investigations and allows the department to handle complicated matters better.
Leading Operations:
Inspectors can start and lead their own operations in ISD. A quality Inspector doesn't just initiate an operation and walk away rather, they keep a close eye on it, make adjustments as needed, and work to cultivate important evidence. This provides high RP presence and introduces some stability into ISD operations.
Document Review:
Some of the work of the Inspector is to review and rate documents drafted by ISD members. A good Inspector should also provide constructive feedback, helping others improve their writing, presentation, and content clarity so that documents are at the level of ISD expectations and standards.
Dealing with ISD Agents
As an Inspector, it is your job to guide and direct ISD agents informing them of what is required of them, how to act professionally, and how to carry themselves appropriately. Leadership, communication, and motivation are important here.
There are many more things an Inspector may be responsible for, but I believe these are the main duties that describe what it takes to be in this important position.
Please elaborate on why you think you'd be a good leadership position holder for Internal Security:
Based on my two experiences as CL4 personnel, I think I can be an effective inspector. I gained knowledge of professionalism, accountability, and leadership from my two experiences in those roles. I also learnt the art of leadership from behind during my time at Nu-7, which includes strategic vigilance, support activities, and leading others. I firmly believe that any department will always give its best effort when professionalism and best efforts are applied. If I give it my all, others will too.
Please give some lore about your Inspector character and what storylines they would be involved in:
???: Date 8/3/20##, I am here with DEA Agent "ion" or John Wells, which do I call you?
John "ion" Wells: You can call me John.
???: Right, so when did you start investigate of ci activity in [EXPUNGED]
John "ion" Wells: After the raid on site-64 by CI we investigated on to why the raid happened in the first place. After some CCTV Footage, and Som questioning of survivors, we identity their object, which was secured in storage room-04-A, or "Spare advance armory"
???: So what was it they had taken.
John "ion" Wells: After we did a checkup of all of the listed things in the storage room. we found that 6 canisters of "VX" or what most people call nerve gas were missing. After we found out we tracked where ci had gone on the road, we then found 2 canisters of VX on the road side, most likely dropped by accident.
???: Were all intact?
John "ion" Wells: Yes, all canister were secure.
???: So this is where Operation "Tin cans" was activated, right?
John "ion" Wells: Yes, we were a team of Agent "buck" and SR Agent "Clever"
???: Why did you only know their code names?
John "ion" Wells: Well because of the sensitivity of this Operation, we were ordered only to use code names.
???: Right, of course. So when did you Land at [EXPUNGED]
John "ion" Wells: After we lost track ci on road we search for any air vehicle the ci may have used, and we found one airplane that was under the suspicion of being owned by CI, near but not too near from where we had lost track, which flew to elko Regional airport,so we board a plane to that airport and we land around 2pm. local time. We then had to track where ci had gone on car which leads us to [EXPUNGED]
???: can you tell me about [EXPUNGED]
John "ion" Wells: Yes of course. [EXPUNGED] is a small town with a small mall and a lot of forest and grassland, it has some farms, but has more stores, and other things like local news, schools and yea, it is a nice town after all.
???: Hm,right, so when did you start searching for them there?
John "ion" Wells: After we had set up everything there, we started the searching, we looked at everything, people visuals, local news, anything. That was until we heard of rumors of an abandoned factory nearby, which sounds been coming from more than usual.
???: So you raided the factory because of Rumors?
John "ion" Wells: No, we had to verify this so we questioned the rumors with the local where we found that the rumors had appeared 2-3 weeks ago, Which matches our time line with the Raid and the plane. We then did a 2 day recon mission where we heard sounds of, walking, screaming, and machine sounds. Which we did a vote which all was with, we then got some CI uniforms that died in the raid on site-64, and made a plan of entry.
???:So what about the infil mission? What happened and what was the plan?
John "ion" Wells: At 2:42am we entered by a destroyed and unused pipe that led us into the underground area of the factory. We then went up to the general floor where we blended in with the CI like they were not suspicious of us. We then split up "Buck" was going to find intel of this factory and what ci was using it for, “Clever” was going to set up a beacon for Nu-7 and i was going to find out where the canisters were, and a truck for the EVAC
???: What happened then?
John "ion" Wells: Well I started to search for the canisters meanwhile "Buck" was going through the Files cabinet in the office area of the factory, and "Clever" was setting up the Radio beacons's dish.
After searching for some time I found them in a room with other things such as AK-47s and Rare SR Freedoms. I checked the canisters and one looked to have the gas leaked, from some fall or accident. I then covered them up with a plastic cover and got them to a truck, Where i loaded them up.
After some time "Clever" was back and had the beacon up, and Nu-7 was on their way. We then found "buck" in the office with some important files of the factory and missions from CI command. We then got in the truck and started it in which many Ci were confused so we opened fire to stop them from shooting at us as we left.
We then drove to our temporary safe house, where we got word that the Nu-7 mission was a success.
???: Can you tell more of these important files?
John "ion" Wells: Yes of course. The files had information of the factory and its purpose. One mission was to the HQ of the raiding and mass chemical attack on site-8 which will had at least killed 140 people there. Two, was the plan that The factory was going to be turned into a CI Containment Site, possible to keep dangerous scps in check, and as well being able to be used for research and other things. Three, is the factory was going to act as an ci Raid HQ for the East american coast.
???: Okay so to say on report were there any deaths or damages
John "ion" Wells: I will say no, no agents died, one nu7 was wounded. we got all the canister back but one being breached. and the intel was important as well, so i will say that this operation was a good success.
???: I have a quick question why didn't Nu-7 just raid the Factory?
John "ion" Wells: Well because then CI can had load the canisters and EVAC, because Helicopters are loud so they will had be alerted.
???: All right so John I have made a choice because of your talents as working in a team. I have transferred you to site-65 in Pinewood. As well you have been promoted to Senior Agent, and will be working with me on some CI activity in the area. Any questions?
John "ion" Wells: No sir.
???: Good, i am jack by the way but call me "unbroken"
John "ion" Wells: Nice to meet you.
*Both shakes hands*

Operation “Angel” CL4
Operation “Angel”
A beep is heard from the recording device.
John “Bergen” Wells:
Audio report of case 4815 of Operation “Angel.” The date is 11/06/####.
So… where do I start?
Two days ago, a chef came into the lobby with a statement saying that a tech expert tried to recruit him into some kind of cult.
At first, I thought he was mistaken. Recently, new Jesus leaflets had been spread around the site by staff.
But when I saw this leaflet, it didn’t look normal. It was just white paper with black text that read:
“Join us at the lecture hall at 14:00 to hear of our Church of the True Savior.”
Usually, the Jesus leaflets had a picture of Jesus on them, with colors and all. This was different.
At 14:00, I disguised myself as a staff member and went to the lecture hall.
It started with a junior researcher stepping up and saying:
“As of today, we are faced with sins and lies in our world.”
“But today we open ourselves to new ways and new ideas.”
“Welcome our guide, Dan Hearts.”
A tech expert walked up to the middle and grabbed the microphone.
Dan Hearts:
“When I joined the Foundation, I saw the pillar of light.”
“One SCP changed my mind about what we do as humans.”
“We protect life through sacrifice and by doing work most people never could.”
“Today, we will talk about our savior, our hope to Jesus and God.”
The slide changed to show a man in his 80s, standing in a dark corner under white lights.
“He may not look like His son or how you imagine Him, but God is all, and God is you and me.”
“He is us. He is everyone. He is everything. This man is the same but only one can truly be God.”
“And that is God Himself.”
Everyone in the room clapped. They were all Christians, so I wasn’t surprised.
After the event, I got an email from the same chef. It said:
Hello ISD. If you're reading this, I’m in danger.
The cult is after me. I wasn’t completely honest with you
I was a member of this cult, and we did things I hoped were just fiction.
That was the entire message.
Right after reading it, I ran to his bunk but he was gone. Everything was in order.
His computer was open, showing a picture of a cat with the words: “Happy birthday with the birthday.”
Looking closer, I saw it wasn’t just a picture it was a message sent five months ago to Executive Researcher Bob Truman.
After this, we started Operation “Angel,” to investigate this situation within the Foundation.
Later, we found Dan Hearts who gave the lecture.
Here’s the recording of the interrogation:
John: “What’s your name?”
Dan: “Dan Hearts. I want a lawyer.”
John: “This isn’t like the outside world. You don’t get a lawyer unless there’s a tribunal.”
Dan: “Then I won’t talk.”
John: “You know why you’re here?”
Dan: “No. Was it the alcohol?”
John: “What? That’s not why you’re here. Do you know a chef named Alexander?”
Dan: “Yeah, great guy. Made the best cake I’ve ever had on Bob’s birthday.”
John: “Can you tell me more about your religion?”
Dan: “Why? Is it illegal?”
John: “No. I just want to understand.”
Dan: “We’re just followers of God. Nothing more.”
After that, I brought in Bob Truman for questioning.
Bob: “Why am I here?”
John: “Do you know the chef named Alexander?”
Bob: “Of course. He’s my friend. Did something happen to him? Is he okay?”
John: “Have you seen him lately?”
Bob: “Yeah, I talked to him this morning.”
John: “What did you talk about?”
Bob: “Retirement. It’s almost been 20 years.”
John: “Did he seem strange in any way?”
Bob: “No, he seemed happy.”
We searched Bob’s and Dan’s rooms. Nothing suspicious.
Then we checked Dan’s workplace.
Inside his locker, glued to the roof of the door with blue paint, was a hidden SD card.
The IT department unlocked it. Inside was a video titled “God”
It showed the locker room. Chef Alexander was cuffed to the wall.
A tech expert with Dan’s voice was stabbing him while mumbling something.
After the interrogation, Dan disappeared.
When we looked deeper, we found that Dan had no records of ever being employed by the Foundation.
We were stuck, until we checked their bunks again.
That’s when I noticed something odd: Dan and Bob had the same birthday.
At first it seemed normal. But if Alexander sent a message to Bob, maybe Dan did too?
We checked both computers. Dan had no job reports. Nothing. Like a ghost.
Then we saw Dan’s birthday message to Bob. It said:
“Happy Birthday from Brother.”
That’s when I realized they were family.
But according to all records, they weren’t. No contact outside of the site, barely any inside.
We searched Bob’s office with Permission. And found books on voice acting, drama, and deception.
In one of them section 5, “Controlling Pitch” someone had written the name “Dan” in thick black pen.
On the back of the book were pages about Dan’s religion, including ritual sacrifices.
We brought Bob in again.
Bob: “Have you found Alexander?”
John: “Even better. Look at this.”
(shows the book)
John: “Seen this before?”
Bob: “No, never.”
John: “Strange. We found it in your filing cabinet.”
Bob: “That’s a lie. I’m not stupid. I would never hide that.”
John: “Can you tell me about tech expert Dan?”
Bob: “He’s weird, but he’s my brother. The best guy I know.”
John: “What if I told you he never worked here?”
Bob: “That’s wrong. Look deeper you’ll find him.”
John: “How are you so sure?”
Bob: “My brother would never lie to me.”
John: “What if I told you… you’ve never had a brother?”
Bob: “Liar! I’ve known my brother since the day he was born!”
John: “Where is Dan?”
Bob: “I don’t know!”
John: “Yes, you do.”
Bob: “Stop this madness! I’m not insane!”
John: “Are you?”
Bob: “You are the insane one! Talking Shit!”
John: “Like Dan?”
Then Bob started mumbling… and suddenly started talking again.
Dan: “You like this?”
John: “What?”
Dan: “You think I was just a ghost? I’ve always had a body.
The day Bob left me at the park… he killed me.
So now, I am him. And Bob is me.
We want power to change the world from people like you, John.
And I have that power in this room.”
Then Bob or Dan jumped at me. Missed and hit the ground hard.
After this incident, the Ethics Committee was angry with Medical for failing to detect Bob’s mental condition.
Bob had been dealing with guilt over his brother’s death since childhood.
He developed bipolar disorder.
He’s now sedated and moved to a small medical facility in Wyoming.
End of recording.
