What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
This suggestion is for the addition of a clearance 4 card to the O5 jobs with the override "Site Inspector" Followed by the number, For example O5-2 would spawn with a card saying "Site Inspector 2"

As well as a card modification for ERT to display "Emergency Response team", Followed by the name of the player rather than the current cards, Which is the regrank/name of the player.

I also would suggest some form of placeholder support for any changes that could be made in the future, Such as {Jobname} or {Playername}

Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
I don't believe so as the card prefix override is new.

Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
O5's no longer require vouches to pass places, Therefore Vouch system can be deleted.
ERT cards are no longer unintentional codename/name leaks. (as the cards dropped by ERT are indistinguishable from regular jobs)

Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
Work from Seniors to Implement, Potentially not needed for O5 (From personal querying, most UK and USA council have no issue with this kind of card)

My suggestion for the ERT cards may not work due to how their loadouts are handled. I'm sure content can inform if it is or is not doable.

Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
Honestly, I want to roleplay with low ranks, And I wanted to ask about a quality of life card change for ERT for a while so this lets me do both.

Makes sense. It's going to be rejected though for something like "not possible with the current systems", as if having a dev change those systems isn't an option.


exciting suggestion. Im scared because I think Zen is right here and the current system isn't going to allow us to change it that easily non the less, we will see what the options are and come to a conclusion. ( not 100% sure o the matter)

Tbh when I first read it I thought it was asking for O5 to have two keycards, which I'm not sure how well that works right now. Either way, I wouldn't put it past CT to fuck it up somehow. I asked for a simple perma weapon toggle in the spawn menu and they denied it because it would discourage going to the armoury NPC - which is an objectively worse option, and one that nobody ever does because it's so shit. I'm not going to go to the armourer to remove my perma weapons every time I switch to a non-combative job.

Besides ERT, don't the newly-added restricted keycards already solve the addressed issue?
No, It was discussed that the restricted keycard didn't necessairly fit for the O5, and we wanted to limit the use of the card.

I feel like an override for the clearance 4 card would not only fit if it said "Site Inspector" but also would mirror ethics, who hold a cl4 card to use for their public guise.

I mean, my point was that CT would deny it with some inane reason. It hasn't been decided yet, so it hasn't gone either way. This exact change has been denied in the past for Ethics here because "not necessary", and then from what is being said here it seems they got it anyway, so it's not as if I'm pulling this out of my arse.

So what are you asking for for O5 here? That they'd have both a CL4 and 5, or a CL4 with overrides for everything, or what?

EDIT: Also, do Ethics actually have a CL4 right now? I know it wasn't a thing for a while because it was claimed it wasn't possible or allowed or something previously.
Ethics still have the CL4, They can't both have Biometric but All I'm looking for is a clearance 4 card (Non bio) that has the following override.

Line 1 - Site Inspector
Line 2 - Inspector 1
Line 3 - [Blank]

Or something of similar design, and Obviously the Number on line 2 is changed per job.

According to an ECM, "Both I'm pretty sure".

Regardless my suggestion wouldn't require the inspector keycard to be biometric, Just exist
