For how long have you played on CG SCP: Over a month at this point
Age: 30 (im an old man pls dont judge me for this)
In what country are you located?: UK
Time zone: GMT/BST
Character name(s): Mahmoud Hamza I, Mahmoud Hamza II and Mahmoud Hamza III
Civilian name: James Bont
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA): UK
Do you have a mic?: Yes
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
None
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
1 or 2 warnings but I cant remember what for
1 ban for LTAP, however im not entirely sure why I got this ban; I just tried to log in one day and it said I had 7 hours remaining on my ban.
Why are you applying for Executive Researcher?:
Because I've been playing biohazard researcher for over 3 weeks at this point and I would like to progress higher within the department. Ive cultivated many ties with the other executive researchers and honestly I would like to join them as I think I can be a valuable asset to the foundation.
Additionally I feel like I would be able to help and guide younger/newer researchers on their journey, helping them come up with good research ideas and how to implement them properly.
What makes you suitable for Executive Researcher?:
Generally I am very good at following protocal and rules, my studies are well written and well thought out; and I want to help the Department of Research. I also attempt to get feedback and talk over ideas for research prior to getting them approved, and I would like to be in a position where I can offer that same sort of assistance to newer researchers. Brainstorming research can be hard, but with some help im sure we can continue to deliver excellent research for the greater good of the foundation; and humanity as a whole.
How many excellent-graded documents have you written? What makes a document excellent?
I am unsure but I think its at least 4 at this point. My strengths in this area relate to events and taking notes from extremely chaotic situations, making sure to write down what is happening and who is saying what. I then reformat these notes into comprehensive research reports for the executives to go over. I have been involved with taking notes and documenting a myriad of spontaneous events, and honestly I believe it to be one of the most enjoyable things to do on site. Attempting to understand new anomolies and working out what they want/how they function.
Personally I think an excellent document means covering essentially everything about the study or incident you are attempting to describe. With studies that includes explaining the aims of your study (what you want to achieve), the hypothesis (what you think will happen), the method (how you will carry out the test), the risks (what could go wrong, containment breach/death), the requirements (what you need to carry out the study), the results (what actually happened), and the conclusion (how the results confirm or disprove your hypothesis). For anomalous events, it is much harder to determine what sections might be in your research, as it is dependent on the incident in question; however more detail and especially pictures of for instance new species anatomy are very helpful. But regardless of whether its a study or an incident report, it should always be well formatted and seperated out nicely, with a title page, index and appendix at minimum.
What are the responsibilities of the Executive Researcher in RP?:
Guiding experiments particularly those that require CL 4 or cross tests, reviewing documents whether they be studies or event incidents and advising researchers. All of it is enjoyable, but my knowledge of rules and protocols I think means I am well suited to overseeing any dangerous experiments.
Please give some lore about your Executive Researcher character and what storylines they would be involved in:
In terms of my character I have a brother who is a cadet and a second brother who is in Internal affairs. Mahmoud Hamza I is the oldest of 3 brothers, originally born in Iran they moved to Canada when Mahmoud was just 7 (his brothers were 5 and 3 respectively). His father was killed during the Iran-Iraq war and died in ████, he was then raised by his mother and later his cousins who were already in Canada when they arrived.
Also, as a young adult I sold car insurance and have a wealth of knowledge relating to the sale of car insurance and how to incentivise people to buy it. In terms of the foundation I have written up numerous documents about events which have occured and ive been involved in during my time as sr. and biohazard researchers. I would love to show some of these to any potential interviewer just because I put so much effort into some of them. For instance, TSCP-08002, I documented its life cycle and made 3 anatomical pictures to explain how it functions.
