What makes you the best candidate for Overseer Assistant?:
I believe I may be the best candidate for Overseer Assistant as I have been loving the server and people I've worked with, and I am completely able and open to taking on new opportunities. I excel in writing and preparation of documents, assistance with duties in which such might be needed, and I am generally ready to take on whatever is thrown at me. I may not be in the best of relations with Internal Affairs as of late, but that is mainly because I thought I was doing what was right, and I suppose it can most surely go around as something left to the determination of the person themselves. I am willing to take accountability, and I am very active. Enough so, that anything that may need to be done by the Overseer Council can get done in a surefire rate due to my ability and willingness to do so. I am in no way hesitant to perform duties and tasks given to me. What I mean by this, is that I truly will not hesitate to do as I am told. I do not mean to demean any one else in any way, shape, nor form, but I simply believe I am a dedicated person. If I need something done, I will ensure that it gets done. The same goes for duties set towards me and anyone else.
I have perseverance like no other and I have no problem gaining and letting go. I do not hold grudges and I can come to agreeance with people and settle problems fairly easily should I need to. In no doubt in my mind have I improved from what I used to be. I will not lie in the fact I say that I used to minge. However, after consideration, I have taken that in order to improve myself and have stopped being a minge and begun incorporating myself with roleplay, the community, and so on.
I am willing to put hours into assisting the Overseer Council and do what is asked of me. I may be argumentative, but only if it benefits my regiment. I am very loyal to the foundation - but by this, I mean the foundation. I serve it's purpose, but that is what I serve. However, I've no problem with loyalty towards the Overseer Council. I will not deny, I do not fully believe in the authority of the Ethics Committees regiments (all respect to the people within them though, this is mainly just a part of my personality...) however I am willing to work with them so long as it ensures the continuation of the foundations secrecy, security, and general populace. After all, a friend of the council is a friend of mine I suppose. I am always putting in full effort for everything I'm tasked with doing and complete everything given to me.
I try my best, and I never falter in attempting to raise expectations. I can make a name for myself fairly quickly, as I tend to go above and beyond. I am in full understanding I have not communicated with everyone within the council before, however this does not negate the fact I have no problem carrying out duties and put out full effort in doing so. Although I no longer have one at the moment, I am still well-knowledgeable regarding CL4 experience and the responsibilities of one.
I am always ready to be serious when conducting professional duties, and I ensure that I am not defacing the name of whoever or whatever I am representing. I do like to have a laugh but this is normally in out of character/unprofessional moments in time. I wouldn't really be messing around if flagged on anyway.
This used to be not true, as I used to make jokes and screw around on Ambassador (nothing violating any policies, just being a little bit annoying). However, I've dedicated my time to improvement and have been able to significantly grow in this aspect. I am always trying to be friendly, and I will not lie in the matter that I have said some things I regret to peers; however those problems have been resolved as I am not ignorant enough as to not apologize. I do have a considerate mindset, and enjoy letting people have fun and enjoy their time, as I believe that is the sole reason why we spend our time on these servers. Whether it be roleplaying seriously or just talking, I believe everyone deserves to have their time respected and be allowed to have fun to an extent. I am completely able to talk to the Overseer Council, even though the only one I've really had the pleasure of talking to is -1 and a tiny tiny bit of -3 (former one) (If he even remembers the talk about what was going on in D-block closets). I would love to be able to garner more time with everyone as an assistant, all while serving the Overseer Council to the fullest extent of my capabilities
What are the responsibilities of Overseer Assistants in RP?
The responsibilities of Overseer Assistants in RP are to, quite obviously, assist the Overseer Council in its efforts to keep the foundation under check by performing duties and tasks asked of them by the Overseer Council. Not only that, they are there to represent the council, without ever representing 'the council' publicly. They essentially perform their tasks under their authority to assist the Overseer Councils interests. Overseer Assistants are essentially the Overseers 'arms', and do what the Overseer Council needs done on their behalf. They ensure that the departments under the jurisdiction of the Overseer Council are in check and conductible to the standard that the Overseers wish them to be. They also can technically act as a line of security for the Overseers, as assistants will be the one conducting the duties tasked by the Overseers, instead of the Overseers having to do the job themselves, putting themselves at risk. Not only do they act as the Overseers arm, they also enforce the Code of Conduct, report things that may need to be reported to the council, and if truly needed (and no one above is on) they may authorize AA during times it may be needed to ensure the foundations security against containment breaches. They are expected to be professional and mature people while representing the council (without people knowing who they are supposed to technically represent). In my own belief, I would not say they technically have a set "responsibility" but more so just how to act, considering they conduct whatever duties are given to them by the Overseer Council; in which is what I believe is their true responsibility.
Please give some lore about your Overseer Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Marion was a young boy, growing up in a tough home in a rough neighborhood. All the signs for a failure were there. He had no father, nor a real parental guardian. He had a mother, but a fake on at that. It wasn't even his real mother, but instead a false woman that his father had brought home... "Again?" was something that rang in Marions head countless times. He was never truly sure if he would see the same woman again or not, but eventually, it stopped. To no surprise it did, considering his father died. To that, it was no surprise either. A drug addicted maniac who took no care in raising his son. Marion was neglected, but despite that, he did not want to grow up and be worthless. He put in all the effort he could in school, but even then, it was almost as if he wouldn't be able to do anything; it's as if the world has left him behind on another planet...However - One day, Marion found his call. He was never really left alone and always treated poorly in school, until one day he had trouble finding his wallet.
'Great', 'Fantastic', 'Awesome'.
So many sarcastic tones rang throughout his head. He felt empty. Suddenly, it was as if he had a sudden motive. A sudden burst of motivation. Marion woke from what was like a dream, like a false reality he had set himself in. He was determined to find it. It was something so small as to be $10. No more than so, and yet, it's what he wanted. He wanted it back. Marion, as if a small detective, scoured around and took notes of people who might of taken it. He would mark off, mark off, mark off, and mark off everyone one by one. It was stupid, but he was tired of it. Eventually, he found it. Some idiot decided it was for the taking, despite it having Marions very name on it.With some persistence, it was obtained. Marion felt happy, and finally as if he was free from the bothers and problems of life.
He realized, that with his mind and his thought process, he would be able to overcome many problems in life... With this information, he enlisted for the Canadian Military as soon as he finished schooling. He didn't do much at first, but like all things, it was a gradual process. He eventually had the pleasure of joining the Canadian Forces National Investigation Service for the Canadian Forces Military Police Group, and was highly successful in all ways, having a succeeded case rate of 98%. Meaning, he was very good at his job in investigation and was always on top of those that may bring harm to the country, or just people being troublemakers.
As a Military Police officer, he had the pleasure of working with many highly esteemed professionals and was regarded highly by his peers. Eventually, all of that came down when he was investigating a case involving a government official who was heavily influencing the actions of commanders within the military by threats of blackmail. During a face-to-face conversation, the government official pretended to pull out a gun in an attempt to make Marion scared, and as a result, Marion shot and killed someone he believed at the time posed a threat to him during an investigation. However, many people who disliked Marion because of his success rate and overall popularity among his peers, went against him and testified that Marion had no plausible reason to shoot the man. As such, Marion was relieved of duty and imprisoned, where he would eventually be facing life for murder of a government official. Eventually, something odd happened. Two prisoner guards came to Marion and brought him into a room where he would eventually be given a choice. Join a highly-esteemed foundation with some of the best of the best, or rot in a cell. Marion would then begin a career in this new site, in which he would end up doing both good, AND bad... I suppose it would depend on who to say what is right and what is wrong.
