What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
This suggestion will Replace the clearance 3 Medical psychiatrist role with a clearance 3 "Senior Doctor" role to keep it looking more inline with the other entry RP focused department (Sr Researcher). Myself, wiz and the 2 UK DoM's have had a sit down to discuss what changes make sense for this new role to make sure when creating this suggestion all Aspects are agreed on from both sides.
Staff Required Changes
- Model change (for the normal cl1 and cl2 model as we have no other suitable model until medical models are revamped)
- Name Change: Senior doctor (Prefix: Sr Doctor)
- Loadout Change #1: Cl4 Sniffer
- Loadout Change #2: Remove useless field kit
- Crediting approval ability (to be inline with Sr Researcher)
- Role count increase from 3 < 5
- Making it Semi Whitelisted (if possible) Like IA has it
In-game Changes (This will be subject to change depending on Directors and will be in affect when officially added)
- Will take control of RP interactions with cl4+ personnel (Ex: Psych evals, Physical Examinations)
-- Clearance 2 Doctors will be limited to Clearance 0 - Clearance 3 RP interactions
-- Would expand Document RP potential to cl2 doctors again
-- Ailments treatment would be exempt from clearance restrictions
- Serious / knowledge required RP scenarios (Ex: Surgeries) Will be restricted to Sr Doctors
- Ability to attend CL4 SCP tests
- Limited Cl4 SCP Knowledge for medical purposes (would require discussion between medical leadership / Server Leadership or Site Leadership)
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
- Would bring an actual Progressive route through medical .
- Could increase Medical RP potential.
- Could increase Medicals activity.
- Would be an extra approachable medical person for Trainee's to learn from.
- "removes" a useless role.
- If semi whitelisted, it would give a chance for medical leadership to make sure medical personnel are fully knowledgeable of medical before being promoted to an important role.
-- Medical leadership could have a separate training method/guide for the senior doctor role.
- If semi Whitelisted, Would help deter minges as otherwise it'd be a free cl3 job option.
- More organisation within the department.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
- if not semi whitelisted would add another "free" cl3 role to minge on.
- Could be redundant given the server is closer to a combat focused server over RP and Sr Doctor would not be combative.
- Could take a bit of time for the community to get used to a new role.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
This suggestion should be accepted as it can only benefit the RP for a department on the server, the current job this would replace is a clearance 3 medical staff that can do less than a clearance 2. i feel a lot of people who prefer RP would come back to medical as there is a new progression route and an enjoyable role for people to get off their main jobs to relax on without the responsibilities of their main rank. When adding psychiatrists we thought they were the best approach of progression (don't know why SR doctor wasn't thought of lmao) and died out quite quickly due to its limitations and availability to be done on other jobs.
