Why are you applying for Medical Consultant?
- I am applying for Medical consultant because i really enjoy working for the medical department, a lot of people rely on me and its my job to be at their aid should they need it. its one of the many pleasures i have on the server being on the medical team and i hope if i get this ill be able to pass on everything i have learned on my journey through the ranks, and soon the trainees next in line to learn great health care will preform excellent service to fellow comrades and colleagues.
What makes you suitable for Medical Consultant?:
- i have been apart of the medical team for some time now, i had first joined the server back in. in may of last year. at first i was indecisive of who i wanted to be and took a small break to come to the decision i have now. i now i am currently continuing to focus only on my medical profession, sticking to the hypocratic oath, to do not harm and only treat/cure people.
Please explain an in-game medical procedure of your choice:
- Limb Fracture Treatment Procedure
* the first step of this procedure, to find out which limb is fractured. To do this, you must lead your patient to an X-Ray Machine. You will then need to ask them to lay down on the table (by telling them to click E on the table), This will start the machine. After about 5 seconds. the should rise from the table and on the screen above should highlight in RED which limb on their body is fractured. This will then tell you which specific medicine must be administered.
* the second step is to bring up the medical cabinet by using the prompt !medic, and access the medic menu. Next you will need to Purchase/Spawn both an empty beaker and an empty drug jar, from the Entities tab. Once you have those two items. you must Purchase/Spawn in the medicine with the corresponding limb from the Drugs tab. For example, if the patient had a fracture on the left leg, you would need to spawn in from the drug menu, medicine labled "Drug: Left leg".
* Once you have all of those, you need to pick up the Vial with your gravity gun and place it into the empty beaker by dragging the Vial on to the empty beaker, if done correctly the vial should disappear and the beaker should say "Left Leg" on it. After that you must pick up the beaker with your gravity gun again and then drag it over to the empty drug jar. place it on the drug jar, The beaker should then disappear leaving only the drug jar containing the "Left Leg" medicine. Finally you must asked the patient to drink the medicine (By clicking E on it). If done correctly the fracture should be healed and ready for his next fracture.
What are the responsibilities of the Medical Consultant in RP?:
- The Biggest responsibility of a Medical Consultant is to train new Medical Trainees, showing them what they are able to do and how to do it effectively and efficiently. A Medical Consultant is there to make sure that medical trainees know what they are doing, so no issues arise from them.
- Medical Consultants are one of the most trusted and respected personnel on site and are very high in both level and importance.
- Medical Consultants, as the name suggests are they people you go to for the following
* an opinion/advice on a medical procedure and how to execute the procedure.
* Advice or guidence on any medical related issue should it be needed.
- Medical Consultants also watch over the medical department as a whole, making sure that everything is running smoothly, and that no issues are appearing. If at any point an issue was to arise, a Medical Consultant is there to quickly put an end to the problem, with complete professionalism and highest respect for the individual involved.
Please give some lore about your Medical Consultant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Tim Drake was hired by the foundation after a foundation employee had observed his high level of knowledge in the medical field. Tim had started out doing basic medical procedures such as fracture fixes and morphine treatment, making sure everyone is fit, healthy and completely void of injury. Tim was fascinated by the unique injuries that personnel were arriving at medbay for, as it gave him a new challenge for him to learn, overcome and master. Tim observed other doctors who had been there longer than him perform different medical treatments on these unique injuries, taking notes on every little detail. With this high level of observation in nom time, Tim could learn and perfect the challenging procedures.
Tim slowly climbed up the ranks of the medical department, eventually landing himself a spot as a combat medic. His Duty was to "serve, protect and treat" all who are next to him, no matter their status, from D-class to MTF, no one gets injured on his watch, making sure that any injuries that they suffer during fights are quickly fixed, So the SCP's never get the advantage. Through endless training, and observation, Tim managed to survive multiple breaches, and helped many more survive
and avoid being another casualty to the foundation. Fighting these breaches taught Tim what these SCP's are want how to avod them in the future should the need arise.
After around 5 years working in the medical department, Tim wanted a new challenge, he was done wasting lives, killing rioting D-Class. He wanted to throw down his weapon and stick to what he does best, defending the Hippocratic oath, to save live rather than take them, so he did. He stepped down as a combat medic and became a regular doctor for the foundation. some of his comrades had heard of this and had earned their respect for the dedication to the oath he swore to protect. Eventually this caught the attention of the higher ups in the foundation. One day while Tim was attending to one of his regular patients, he had been requested to go to the site directors office. At first Tim was quite confused about this, but the confusion was short lived as when he spoke to the site director, they had explained that a new position had opened up in the medical department, The Medical Consultant. Tim was Fascinated in this position and swore he would not stop at nothing to get this position.
