What makes you the best candidate for Overseer Assistant?: I consider my flexibility and dedicated scheduling commitments to be my highest quality when it comes to important roles such as this. I am usually present every day for at least a couple hours. What information I do not actively know, I am able to quickly absorb and utilize as needed. Though, I also am generally an SCP nerd who listens to audio videos going over a lot of different SCPS, so I could, with GM help, go over events involving some of the more Niche ones.
What are the responsibilities of Overseer Assistants in RP?: The primary responsibility of the Overseer Assistant is to represent the Overseer council and enforce their decisions- Both when council members are present, and when not. They also are capable of handling the vast variety of administrative tasks around the facility on the word of the council members, or it's active head. When Overseers are not present, The OA is capable of acting in equal capacity to other CL4 personnel, and can command A-1 in their absence.
Why do you wish to become an Overseer Assistant?: There are two answers to the question, a short, and long form, naturally. For the short form, I think the position is one that I would greatly enjoy interacting as. As for the long form: The current character I have been playing, Mr. Pennyworth, was always sort of meant to be a sort of servant to some greater purpose in the beginning. I ultimately chose to utilize him as a member of SET, but that feeling to want to play a sort of helper character still persists.
Please give some lore about your Overseer Assistant character and what storylines they would be involved in:
There are two paths of thought that I have going for the Assistant that I aim to play as.
One: I continue the story of Mr. Pennyworth, the story could go that, in his desire to work through SET to aid the foundation by whatever means he could, he would end up approaching the Council in an unprecedented move, offering to leave the Organization of Marshall, Carter, and Dark in order to directly serve under them. He'd make use of his past as a ritualist in order to assist the more 'magically' inclined of the Council, as well as his more mundane skills to handle paperwork and carrying out orders made by the council as a result. He could also engage with the Thaumatological side of research and host certain events involving the honing of their skills. I am fully willing to go through with this route, including, if necessary, the breaking of ties with the entirety of MC&D on Pennyworth's part.
Two: I create an entirely new character, a thus far nameless individual who would've slowly worked over the years, from a well behaved trustee D-Class, to a Researcher. From there, he could've risen through the ranks to be capable of enough merit to warrant an induction as an Assistant under the Overseers. There would be a similar theme as far as the Thaumatological aspect, with a focus on the arcane unknowable forces that the SCP lore has to offer.
