Character name(s):
Nate Mendoza
Civilian name:
Nate Mendoza
What server are you applying for? (SCP-RP UK or SCP-RP USA):
SCP-RP USA (Site-65)
Do you have a mic?:
Yes
List all whitelisted, MTF, or CI roles that you hold or have held:
ISD
Have you received any kicks/bans/warning? and why?:
Yes, I have one warning for inappropriate behavior. A few weeks ago, I made a joke about a “honey pack.” I truly did not think it would offend anyone or be misinterpreted, but I understand why it was not appropriate for the server. Since then, I have been much more careful about what I say and make sure it is all G-rated because it is a 13+ community, and I do not want to make anyone uncomfortable.
Why are you applying for Site Advisor?
I am applying for Site Advisor because I would like to help ensure that the server remains realistic and fair but also remains fun. I enjoy RP that is serious when it needs to be serious, and I believe that Site Administration is one of the most important aspects of a server that keeps it from being chaotic and instead keeps it organized.
I also enjoy handling situations where people are arguing or getting out of hand. My first instinct is not to yell and power role, but instead to calm it down, figure out what happened, and then make a decision that makes sense. If it is something such as an arrest situation and someone is trying to cause trouble while they are already being arrested, I will tell them exactly what I mean, such as “you are going to jail because you did this,” but I will still be professional.
What qualities make you a good fit for Site Administration?
I think I would be a good fit for Site Admin because I am efficient, strict but fair, and a good at communicating. i am good at negotiating and talking people down from an angry spot aswell as i am also confident at being firm when someone is clearly in the wrong.
My first aim is to be realistic and fair. I want the rules and consequences to be realistic, Even if someone didn’t like the outcome, I want them to understand why it happened.
I also make sure to do things the correct way before i do them always radio things in first, so staff and departments are aware of what’s going on and it doesn’t devolve into a big mess.
What are the responsibilities of Site Administration in RP?
In RP, the responsibilities of Site Administration are basically to keep the site running well and to make sure that people are following standards. This includes:
Keeping RP as realistic and serious as it needs to be
Keeping professionalism and preventing activity that doesn’t belong on a Foundation site
Handling disputes between departments and making sure that hierarchy is respected
Making sure that incidents are handled correctly (escalation, approval, response)
Communicating well so that people understand what is going on
Working with departments such as Security/ISD/Research so that things don’t become messy
For me, it’s also about acting early before a problem escalates to the whole server. If there is bad behavior, I communicate that it is not acceptable and will not be tolerated because if I tolerate it, that’s how problems escalate.
Please give some lore about your Site Administration character and what storylines they would be involved in:
Nate Mendoza started as a security applicant who joined the Foundation without understanding his future role. He became a Foundation employee because he wanted to achieve his life goals after learning about his actual job requirements. He devoted himself to his work after he understood the serious nature which required him to develop his skills in order to advance his career.
The main motivation is climbing the ranks and proving he belongs in higher responsibility roles, not by ego, but by being dependable and getting results.
Personality/quirks: He takes mental notes on everything and tries to solve problems through his fast work. He concentrates on important matters while he finishes his work without extending the time of his current tasks.
Storylines I’d involve him in:
• Internal investigations and corruption/bad-actor situations (this is what I enjoy most).I had previous experience with Security investigations which I found enjoyable, and Mendoza would naturally become involved in situations that required investigation because something was suspicious and he needed to discover the truth.
• Department disputes where Security and Research butt heads — Mendoza listens to Security first if there’s bodycam evidence, but he still hears both sides and then makes the call based on what’s proven.
• Building trust and connections across departments — making amends when needed, forming professional relationships, and getting people aligned so the site isn’t fighting itself.
• Serious incident response where he stays calm, radios things in, and helps coordinate the next steps without panic
