What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
In all honesty I think that the AA-12 having the same exact mechanics as the auger minigun and being in AA for use by MTFs would be a good addition instead of only having one gun that ERT uses and having multiple instead of a gun and only throwables. (Minor addition: same exact mechanics in AA meaning the cooldown of grabbing it being longer due to it being pretty darn good)
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
I have not seen something like this but if so I apologize for not noticing.
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
More usage of AA and weaponry instead of throwables that usually harm the user more than the SCP. Also more variety in weaponry which I have personally found AA lack, also the auger minigun doesn't help that much as an AA weapon compared to the AA-12 due to it's windup/little knockback/slowdown while shooting considering ERT has 600 health compared to a normal human having 100.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
I have seen the incredible amount of knockback the AA-12 has and do think it should be a little less. Also the overusage of the AA-12 might put the other weaponry in the shadows which is why I support the 1200 second cooldown on grabbing one. Also misuse of the weapon, there has been inproper use of AA which could cause issues but in the long term that is more of an issue with the people in the roles.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
The weapon actually fits in the advanced armoury section due to this power. It would also get alot more attention from the ones responsible for authing AA to think more about it and would give MTF NCO+es and primary E-11 a better reason to use AA and get better at it. To be fairly honest nerve gas is very situational, nitro gets you killed more than does dmg which feels too little for the risk and the auger is only usefull if the SCP doesn't target you or attempts to avoid you entirely by going around to close the distance and making you unable to rev up the gun before dying fairly fast.
I hope this explains most of the reasons I wish for a new AA addition, and why there should be a cooldown. I have spoken to other E-11 about this to see their opinions and have heard positive feedback about adding the gun. It should obviously not become a 914 weapon though in terms of experience even if the auger does get 914. The AA-12 would be too powerfull against humans especially GSD and such if D-Class scouts/brutes got theirs hands on it. I hope this gets added and makes AA feel a little more fresh and encourages AA usage in a PROPER WAY. (I have seen misuse which I am afraid might happen.
(I just really dislike most of the weaponry in AA its really bad if used by normal MTF instead of ERT and makes me feel like ERT is the only way i can enjoy these weapons. My opinion ofc.)
