Please give some lore about your Director of Internal Affairs character and what storylines they would be involved in:

EARLY LIFE
Childhood - Young Adulthood

Nikolai Grigorivich Nikolski was born to a poor family in the mid 1970's in a small town located in Kemerovo Oblast, Russia. He was born an only child to his mother Ulana and his father Grigori. Nikolai enjoyed reading books about detectives and policemen, and during his later schooling, he was determined to become a police officer. However, he had a very hard time obtaining his goal. Because of his upbringing from a poor family, he was constantly denied entrance into the education program needed to become a police officer, despite his good grades, satisfactory physical performance, and clean criminal record thus far. This infuriated Nikolai, he couldn't believe that the men meant to protect them and uphold the glory of the Soviet Union would mistreat it's citizens. Nikolai felt powerless, unable to do anything. But he soon came up with an idea. A week after his last reject from the academy, a stranger walked into the academy office. No one had ever seen him before, the inspectors assuming it was a recently graduated student. This stranger provided his identification papers. Boris Mosonova. He was sporting a nicely tailored coat, and a shiny watch. Stolen. After short conversation about this strangers false back story, he was accepted into the Academy. For the next few years, Nikolai operated under this false identity up and past his graduation.

POLICE LIFE Young Adulthood - Adulthood

Nikolai had been operating under his alias for 4 years after his graduation from the police academy. He learned very quickly in the first few years of his employment of the many lies of Soviet indoctrination. He had seen rampant corruption within the police force and the government, knowing only a very small number of people who could be trusted. The thought of knowing of all the corruption around him sickened him, but what was worse was not being able to do anything about it. Anything he reported was not acted upon. Policemen taking bribes, framing innocent civilians, beatings, cruel punishments, he had almost seen it all. But despite all of it, he remained untouched by evil. One late morning, Nikolai and his comrades were called into station for a meeting. During this meeting, he was told that recruiters from the Special Purpose Mobile Unit, better known as OMON, were going to be arriving within the week to look for potential candidates to join OMON. Nikolai saw this as his ticket to better his life, as he was growing weary of his day to day dead end job. On the day of evaluation, Nikolai performed with much ferocity. He demonstrated his skill as a policeman was far beyond those of his other officers, because in their corruption, they had forgotten what real policing is, and the recruiter saw this. At the end of the evaluation week, Nikolai was approached, and given the opportunity to attend the special program to join OMON.

Joining OMON was tough. It took it's toll on Nikolai's body, and soul. He was pushed to new extremes that he had never experienced before. But his uncompromised determination drove him to succeed. He had become a member of OMON. His time in OMON would see him in tense situations against high risk suspects that were wanted, and against corrupt men in the government who were exposed. Nikolai greatly enjoyed the time he spent in OMON, and especially enjoyed bringing down the corrupt who benefit from unfairly treating others.

Nikolai would spend 5 years in OMON. During his time, he became a team leader for his men, leading them into raid after raid. He was always prepared for the dangers that awaited him on every mission. But nothing could prepare him for his introduction into the world of the paranormal.

INTRODUCTION TO THE FOUNDATION

December 25th, 1991. The Soviet Union collapses. Nikolai and his team are faced with termination as many other law enforcement and government agencies are purging members. Nikolai sitting at his desk, reading a letter from his commander. "NOTICE OF TERMINATION". Nikolai wept at this. He felt his world falling around him. All the work he did for what he believed, all falling apart. A man in a suit approaches his desk, the room is empty. "Mr. Nikolski, a moment of your time." Nikolai froze. He hadn't used his real name in almost 20 years. He almost forgot his real name. He looks at this sharply dressed man with attention. "I represent an agency authorized by the government that handles unique situations. Situations that no one else on earth could fathom. We operate in complete secrecy and have done so for over a century." Nikolai remains silent, intensely starting at the stranger. "My employers have authorized me to extend an invitation to you to join this agency." The man hands Nikolai a business card bearing only a phone number. "Think it over." The man turns to leave, before he exits the room, he looks back at Nikolai. "I understand that you've made it your lives work to combat corruption. What I offer may grant you the opportunity you've never thought possible. And you will be serving the greatest cause to humanity." The stranger leaves.

EARLY FOUNDATION LIFE

Nikolai began his career in the Foundation at Site-300 in Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia. He served as a security officer for the facility. Patrolling the hallways, monitoring D-Class housing, escorting personnel for testing, the whole 9 yards. While working as a security officer, he had a hard time comprehending the extent of the Foundation and how long it's been operating. Amazed at such a complex system of secrecy throughout the entire world. He contemplated his place in all of it. Yes, he was serving to aid the function of the Foundation, but Nikolai he could do more. He would remain as a security officer for the next few years, earning the position of sergeant. His good performance saw him transferred to Site-65's General Security Department. During one of Nikolai's routine patrols, he noticed a man in a light blue suit, with a maroon shirt. Curiosity aroused, he approached the man. "What department are you?" he asks. "No department, I am an assistant of the Ethics Committee." "The Ethics Committee? How would I be apart of it?", "One does not simply join the Ethics Committee. It takes years of hard work and dedication. I wouldn't hire you if the decision were mine." The man says coldly. "Where would I start? There must be some way I can get involved?", "If you're serious about getting involved with Ethics, the Internal Affairs Department would be your first stop." Nikolai, remembers his dealings with corruption and unfairness. It forced him to live over 20 years of his life under a name that is not his. He jumped at the opportunity, and met with a Ambassador from the department. After proving his worth to the department, he was in.

CAREER INTERNAL AFFAIRS

It's been 15 years since Nikolai joined the Foundation. He has done a lot in his time, especially as a career ambassador for the Department of Internal Affairs. He's had his fair share of many large events that have taken place at the hectic Site-65. From keeping his agents in line, to leading investigations into the corruption of other Clearance 4 officials. He genuinely loved his job. He recalls the time when he wanted to do more, be someone who not a mere cog in the machine, but a figure who stands out from the rest. Someone who sets the prime example to all who look towards him. He's made his way up the ladder to being a supervisor for other ambassadors of the department. It was here that his aspirations leveled. Working in a supervisory position for so long, he had almost lost track of what he aspired to be. That is until the department hit hard times. Many leaders of the department went into retirement, moved on to more coveted positions, or simply disappeared. With all of the new vacancy at the top of the ladder, Nikolai believes that another window of opportunity has been brought before him. And once again, his aspirations tell him to keep climbing. It is uncertain what lies ahead for Nikolai, but no matter what, he is determined to achieve and overcome.

Nikolai is one of the most senior Ambassadors in IA, and throughout my time in IA, he has been one of the most consistently high-performing ambassadors. I think he would make an excellent choice for Director
