What does this suggestion change/add/remove:
This suggestion adds the ability for Nu-7 Medics to either allow Nu-7 Medics access to healing systems such as the in-game medical machines or the
!medic menu,
OR
If they are to remain strictly as field medics with limited healing ability, upgrading their weaponry (L85a2) to something else to better suit frontline combat and survival alongside the rest of their team.
Has something similar been suggested before? If so, why is your suggestion different?:
I did not find any suggetion like this before, but this suggestion is specific to the Nu-7 Medic role. It emphasizes giving them more functional tools to support their squad in the field without relying on third-party medics or returning to the medbay constantly even tho we have some machines at compound but they arent useful to us because combat medics gets bored.
Possible Positives of the suggestion (At least 2):
Improves the viability and purpose of the Nu-7 Medic role by giving them meaningful medical functionality.
Enhances squad sustainability during extended engagements without breaking immersion or balance.
Possible Negatives of the suggestion:
Might reduce the dependency on Medical Department players, which could lead to fewer interactions between branches.
Slight risk of abuse if healing tools are used outside of intended scenarios without proper restrictions.
Based on the Positives & Negatives, why should this suggestion be accepted:
Granting Nu-7 Medics access to machines or the !medic menu strengthens their role identity and effectiveness, especially in high CI activity when they are roaming all around compound ready to kill anyone who shots them in one shot. With appropriate limitations or oversight, this addition would improve gameplay flow, reduce constanat CM need on surface which they get bored from, and make Nu-7 teams more self-sufficient without overshadowing the Medical Department’s broader purpose.
